A few quick pics of the LCA. Great job by andy & k&c. None of the new figures yet for me, got a few more priority retirements to get first.

I am really pleased with the LCA. It is better than the pictures show.
You can fit 7 or 8 soldiers 2X2 in the LCA troop compartment by overlapping the bases, 2 soldiers on the sloping floor next to the drivers compartment and 2 soldiers at the front just before the ramp. The tricky part is holding soldiers on the slope beside the drivers compartment - you need a soldier behind them to keep them from sliding down the slope back into the LCA.

Excellent pictures! I have yet to order one but it will be soon.

Just received my LCA...Byoootiful! My only disappointment is that while the ramp can be up or down, the doors are fixed to semi open position. I am attempting to detach those doors and now on my way to Hobby Bench to get those mini hinges. I'll post the result as soon as I am done. It may take a while though.

Looking foward to the LCM and the LCT. I just hope Andy re-issue the LCVP.

I am OK with the doors the way they are. As for the ramp, it moves but will not stay in the up position, so you may need some work there too.

Nice pics guys. You could try a little blue tack, to keep the figures on the ramp.

We could, but the ramp is so steep it looks like the figures are falling over and their rifles almost hit the ground. The scenario looks pretty good with a few soldiers on the beach and 2 more about to step on the ramp.

does anyone have a pic of it alongside either of the two conte landing craft..be nice to see a comparison:)

It would be interesting - especially if the K&C LCA is a full 1/30 scale and the Conte craft are 1/32. The LCA is 42 ft x 10 ft and can carry 36 troops plus 800 lbs of cargo. The LCVP (Higgens Boat) is 6 ft shorter (36 ft x 10 ft) with a full width ramp and can carry 36 troops or a jeep. The LCM3 is 50 ft x 14 ft and can carry 60 troops or a Sherman Tank. The LCM3 model would be 20 inches long x 5.5 inches wide - but depending on the scale, may or may not hold a K&C Sherman tank.

I've read somewhere that American troops were also transported to the
beaches of Normandy with these British LCA's, but would the Rangers(DD61,62
and 47) look good historically next to the LCA. I've seen the pictures on K&C's website but that doesn't answer my question.
