Everything I got at the Toronto show was in those pictures - the LCA plus 5 sets of Brits. Add it up. Big dent in wallet. and next month the Canadians, the Cromwell and the Atlantic Wall sets. Ouch!

I've read somewhere that American troops were also transported to the
beaches of Normandy with these British LCA's, but would the Rangers(DD61,62
and 47) look good historically next to the LCA. I've seen the pictures on K&C's website but that doesn't answer my question.

Two battalions of Rangers were landed by LCAs at Omaha Beach on D-Day in the first wave. Company C (LCAs 418 & 1038), Company D (LCAs 668, 858 & 860), Company E (LCAs 861 & 888) and Company F (LCAs 883, 884 & 887).

The Rangers fit with the K&C LCA as long as you are not fussy about the K&C LCA number 718.

By the way, I have not been able to find any info on LCA 718. A catalogue on LCAs shows ? as the entry for LCA 718 so we do not even know if it was at D-Day. Did Andy pick that number so it would not clash with any troops (Brits, Canadians, US Army, US Rangers)?

Does anyone (including K&C) have any research on LCA 718?

I'm very pleased with the LCA. It goes good with my Rangers. The day after receiving it I had to run out and get some hedgehogs and dragons teeth to complete the curio cabinet shelf.

You are trying to show a photo of the whole album with one pic, what you need to do is each picture individually.

Select each photo the click generate HTML and IMG codes at the bottom of the page, it will take you to another page and from there choose (right click copy) IMG images for message boards

Then come back to the thread and paste everything into your message.
