Thanks guys.

The buildings are J G Miniatures M38 A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H. 9.5" high by 2.5" to 3.5" deep by 3.75" wide with interior floorboarding on both floors. The roofs, windows and doors are cast metal and the walls are resin.

I've added the Panzer I to Occupied France display, added some sets to BoB "Down Time" display and tank riders to Afrika Corps display....

Mostly FOB sets ...

I especially like the 1940 display - the composition and lighting are excellent and really make the scene.

I see you have mostly JG Miniatures buildings vs Build-a-rama. How did you decide between the two. I think they are both 1/32 scale so may appear a bit small. And the JG Miniatures buildings are more expensive? I am trying to decide on which type to get or some of both?

Terry

Excellent, are those the french houses by JG in the FOB? I was looking at those the other day.

Terry the street front facades in BoB display are Build A Rama and I'm hoping they make more of these. I do have some of their buildings but found that the actual item is much darker [too much smoke damage, solid smoke damage over the entire structure] than in the photos of the product. The ones I have are 122 and 109 and they are very dark which hides the detail and provides no interest. So not happy with that. Also, on these shelves which are 30" wide and 10" deep there is not a lot of room structure wise for anything but facades.

The JG buildings are more expensive, but look so real, collectables in their own right. There are 10 M38 buildings in the 1940 display @ I think ~74$ each, but I guess you only buy them once. I picked up a couple at a time until I had enough to do something with. I am hoping John will do another series like this M38 series - modular in another style of French building. Russian Factory complex would be good.

I also have the Eastern Front house and Western Front Farm House from Figarti. They are great looking, but full 1/30 scale. It would have been better if they were somewhat compressed as they are very large items for a shelf.

I have many of the JG bases for BBA and BBG sets. These are very nice 6" square bases made for the sets. Here are a couple... each is 12" deep by 30" wide or 10 6" squares. These are in a larger cabinet.

I think I will get some of the JG Miniature buildings. I too have small shelves (23 x 13) and while the Figarti buildings are a true 1/30 size as is the K&C Berlin Tenement, they take up a lot of room. I hesitated with the JG buildings as they are expensive, and in my opinion a little small for the newer 1/30 scale K&C pieces.

Are you comfortable with the scale (i.e. comparing a soldier to a dorway height and width?

I guess I will get a few JG buildings at a time - they do look good in your display.

Terry

Yes, okay with width and height. A figure in the doorway has about 1/2 to 3/4" clear headroom. Lots of room on the width and some of the doorways are double doors.

The Berlin Tenement is a masterpiece... I have it here on a 10" deep shelf, but positioned so as not to come to the edge of the shelf and look too crowded.

Nice cabinets. Billy bookcase from Ikea?

Mine are from Solutions. I gave up some width (23 in. vs 30 in.) to get extra depth (13 in. vs 10 in.) I have 7-1/2 cabinets or 52 linear ft. of display space.

Yes, Ikea Billy. Nice! You have a lot of vehicles there.

Here is how I used my SP023. 1914 are some outstanding sets. Looking forward to more of these....
