Hi guys (new thread created for voting and further discussion),
As you should all be aware Andy C Neilson and Helen Mok of King and Country will be visiting Australia in late July to meet K&C collectors and hopefully gain some more knowledge about Australian military history and potential Aussie subjects for the future.
The only Aussie items so far were the two sets from WWII North Africa which are retired and the more recent Collector Club Figure CF20. Coming very soon (early July) will be a single Lighthorseman WW1. The Kiwis (NZ) have had four items in the North Africa series and next month sees the arrival of a good batch of Canadians.
Whilst the interest in Aussie subjects is obviously big Down Under I thought it would be interesting to have a poll on which Aussie subjects Forum Members might be interested in if they were done.
I would be most grateful if Brad or another poll creator could do a poll with the following choices :
Gallipoli - WWI
Western Front WWI
Lighthorse Charge at Beersheba Palestine WWI
North Africa WWII
Pacific/Kokoda WWII
Long Tan,Vietnam 1966
No interest in Aussie subjects

Please note this is a Poll about Aussie subjects and is not about Brits and French at Gallipoli or the US in Vietnam etc.
The above would be the most commonly requested Australian subjects. No offence will be taken if you vote No interest !

As a K&C retailer in Oz I have a bias towards one of the above but I won't reveal it at this stage. However would be happy with any of them !

Regards
Brett

For the record I'm equally interested in Vietnam and Pacific Aussie figures. To bad I could only vote once.

I voted for the Lighthorse Charge at Beersheba, this is one of my favorite military movie scenes.

You're right Brett, now that K&C had added some more Canadians to their D-day lineup its time to move on to the Aussie's. Being a WWII buff my vote is to see more North Africa releases as I wasn't in the hobby when the first few sets came into being. Love those cowboy hats! :)

Those Aussie sets from 2002 are great as are all the 8th Army sets as they're a good mix of many nationalities.

Australians in WWI.Gallipoli or Beersheba it doesn't matter. The are legendary.

I decided the Australian Lighthorse charge at Beersheba would be the best, but any pick would be a winner imo considering how popular the past Aussie sets have been :D

I don't think there is any question that K&C will do both WWI and WWII ANZAC forces, but I voted for the Vietnam figures, as I am unaware of anyone doing figures to commemorate the Australian forces in Vietnam.

It was a hard choice limiting myself to one -- But the Light Horse at Beersheba was my choice.

I'm surprised that Gallipoli hasn't recieved no votes.
Mark

I voted for long tan but my second choice would be the western front....Gallipoli gets so some press coverage on ANZAC day you would think it was the only battle we fought in.

;) YES, I Agree with getting MORE Australian Infantry, for N.Africa; especially like to see these Sets made: - -6-Pounder gun Team---25 Pounder Gun Team(Shirtless Crew)----Mortar Team----Vicker's MG Team!;) CIAO!

Now, I voted for Beersheba but I would love to see any WW1 Australian subject or the Kokoda Track. Don't do the desert in WW 2 though. Gotta have that Light Horse. -- lancer
