ROB,i must agree with you ,K&C,UKs service to their customers is unparalleled, they are professional, friendly and understand the needs of the collector a rare combination that will ensure their future success in this competetive and ever evolving market. My frequent visits to their showroom are always met with genuine courtesy and iam always made to feel welcome, even late on a friday, now thats what i call service.

It's kind of hard to read the headings in white text against a light blue background.

Also, it's 'Christmas' not 'XMAS'.

Other than that, the site looks very nice.

Hi Guys

I'm new to writing to the Treefrog Forum, however I have read all your comments on a daily basis and would like to thank you ALL for the hours of entertainment you all have given me. I would like to ask Neville at K&C UK a question: I personally like the Crimea collection and I viewed the new drawings last night, but why is there no Standard Bearer ?? As a collector I always start with the command centre The flag is the the most visual aspect of any collection would you not agree ????

:D:D

I've drawn her up a list of my collector friends not to invite to my funeral!:D.Simon is top of the list,in fact he's chief suspect!!!!:D

Rob

Don't worry about the brake fluid leaking under your car mate, they all do that and it is still perfectly safe to drive. Downhill. At excessive speeds.;):D

Hi Frank,

Is this the kind of standard bearer you're meaning? (Please ignore the Napoleonic figure - he was added for a laugh).

Hi Frank also a warm welcome to the site.

yes a Standard bearer is an essestial part to any display...........although this unfortuantly comes down to echonomics. Most collectors will only need one standard bearer for a collection and i have to make 500 minimum. So i need a goo 400+ collectors of the range to make it finacially viable as much as my heart would like to JUST do it.

Being a family business and wanting to continue with the range we have to remove the heart and concentrate on a return on our investment to enable the range to grow. Once things get further down the road and we have a good collectors base and we can handle the shelf life of a standard bearer we will definatly look at it

Hi Kurt

It would appear you could be using Explore 6 or below. The site is designed for Explorer 7 or upwards and to be Firefox, google chrome Explorer 7 upwards including 8 and all other Internet browsers.

If you are running microsoft without the automatic updates your machine willnot have Exporer 7 loaded. My book keepers laptop ran with 6 and she had the blue grey boxs at the top and the blue grey panels over the menu bars. As they are actually white on red. i just upgraded her browser to number 7 as 8 is not great and she now gets a full clear picture.

In a recent survey we confirmed the industry reults of browsers used with 96% of our membership using Explorer and 2 % Firefox 1 % Safari (apple) and 1% other. Our old website was only Explorer friendly but we now are ALL browser friendly.

Good point about the Xmas Vs Christmas thing...........

Tony, will you continue to add to the Charge as well as Alma?.

Good point about the Xmas Vs Christmas thing...........

Ironically, the X in Xmas is really the Greek letter Chi, which in Christian symbolism stands for Christ (since Christos begins with Chi). It's sort of a short-hand way of saying the exact same thing. When I was in seminary, I never wrote Christ in my notes, just an X.

Didn't know you were writing in Greek, did you?? :p

I do know the Xmas thing gets people fired up.

I can see it now, the 'TF Christmas Spelling war of 2009'...blood will flow!;)

Eeeeerrrrr....I don't think there were any British Infantry present at the Russian guns as the Light Brigade arrived at them Frank.
:)
Don't even think there were too many Russian Infantry either.
Plenty of Gunners and Russian Cavalry of course.

Okay, so......you want Infantry then Frank? Well, we have Infantry for you.
Please ignore the backdrop of the French Farmhouse; I had nowhere else to put it, (pushed for space at the moment), and the innovative groundcover. Oh – and that darn power chord, which I didn't notice until I processed the photo's.

And here's the - "Some More".

PS. I included the Napoleonic flagbearer at the back, (the figure itself is almost hidden), just to bug Missus H, who objects to the Union Jack being displayed too prominently in Heid Mansion in case it annoys visitors. Yeah, I know it’s the wrong Colour, but I have a cunning plan…..
;)

Lovely display. I especially like the "backs to the wall" effect from the farm buildings.

Oh, you just had to go and make these Foot Guards I was pining for didn't you Tony?

In fact, I see some strong resemblance to one of my favorite images covering this subject in some of the sketches on your new website. I will be looking forward to seeing these come to life later in the year.

Cheers,
MD
