Thanks for the comparisons Randy........I really appreciate your taking the time to set up and snap the photos of them side by side for me.
I know how long it takes to set up a shot, edit it, download it and post it.
To do that for a fellow Treefrogger, is a "labor of love" on your part that I really appreciate.
Thank you for that.
I think the Frontline figures are beautiful.
Frontline's 42nd Highlander's Black Watch does look good with John's 78th Fraser's,
and
Frontline's Montcalm does look good with John's French Marines,
but two of the (many) reasons I really like John's figures is the sturdiness of them and the potential resale value of them, as opposed to the Frontlines.
I own a lot of Frontline, 24th Foot and Zulus, I really like them.
I just bought a couple of their sets a few months ago for that range.
However, they are pretty fragile compared to JJ's, especially bayonets, swords and spears.
Some of John's figures weigh almost 1/2 pound each (6-7 ounces).
They don't bend or break very easily.
On resale, I don't think I could get my money back and break even on my old Frontlines.
On John's, I really feel they will appreciate in value quicker, much quicker.
I have always felt comfortable with John's products.....that if I ever grow tired of a series I am collecting, that I can recoup most or more of my original purchase price.
The Frontline FIW are beautiful figures, thanks for the photos Randy, but I don't think I'm going to start collecting them in mass, lol.
I may try a couple more, if they grab me, I just bought the two sets of their IWC03 and IWC05 last week.
I'm pretty happy with John's figures.
On that note...........lol, today I ordered BR044 and BR051 from the link you sent me on the retired K&C's because I don't collect Quebec (JJ's September releases) and had to spend my monthly quota somewhere.
Thanks for the photos Randy....by the way...they are spectacular shots...as always from you.
