Someone in Belgium is selling his complete collection on eBay consisting of 309 sets for 'just' Euro 10.000 !!!! Peanuts!!:D:D

Oooopssss, that was just the starting bid!!!!
And it's also on Ebay Watch!

Wow, can you imagine the size of THAT guys coat closet?

I'd be surprised if it sells. I often wonder why people list all of their collection as one lot. The only reasoning I can come up with is that it is easier than listing each individual set.

I don't think it is very well advised to try and sell off a whole collection at once. Generally I feel it is better to break it up into smaller lots.
The other way to do it is to sell your whole collection to a big toy soldier dealer who can break it up and dispose of it at leisure. I cannot believe what he has there is so rare that a collector will need to buy up teh whole collection just to get it.

I agree - there are only a few "good" pieces. It could be an estate sale - get rid of it quickly - with any really good pieces removed?

It may sell - there is a bid on it. The Vendor has been a big online customer of Bill Sager and Marjoriestreasures over the past 3 - 4 years.

This auction has been on the Forum e-bay watch since Monday. All answers are there.

If somebody wants me to go over and check-out the state of the collection just PM me.

Glad to help

The collection is a good one and I wish the seller all the best.
It is just that selling a collection in one go is a bit ambitious.
Perhaps a retailer or toy soldier dealer wants to buy it and then break it up to sell off individually.

I would expect the bid is from a dealer looking to resell and make some profit. I can't see a collector suddenly deciding to buy k&C and putting out that kind of money when for the same big money he could buy much more selectively.
