I am jusr beginnig to put together displays from the mats, bases, buildings, AFVs and figures I have. That way I will be able to identify needed diorama accessories to complete a scene. There are 28 display shelves.

This one is the pacification of a Normandy Village prior to D-Day. Needs mor German soldiers and cobblestones - to be added.

Beautiful Normandy scene with many classic K&C scenic pieces. Will be interesting to see with their recent venture back into diorama buildings if some new Normandy Scenics are in the pipeline. :)

I like the facades and the diplay.......Nice work......I make my own buildings.....Foam ones.....
Regards,
Canucks:)

Raymond,

All those buildings are from K & C's second Normandy village. The first Normandy Village set, which incidentally was made by John Jenkins (as was the second), are more three dimensional.

The only ones missing from the set is the Gare Cental and a large and small fountain. Of the buildings in the first set, there is only one I would like, but they never show up anywhere and I am sure the cost would be $$$$$$.

Jazz - I had no idea that John Jenkins made the buildings

Yup, he talked about this in one of Louis' symposiums. He also made the French farmhouse. He wasn't crazy about the facades because they're very static unlike the first NV.

I had the first NV but wasn't crazy about it as requires a lot of room whereas the second NV fits perfectly into shelves. I managed to get them before prices went crazy; got most of them from a dealer friend in 2005, one from Njja, one from Chicago and the other one from ebay (I think).

I got all of mine from e-bay in the $150 - $200 range. I got lucky as one guy was selling several of them and I was able to get 3 at once at a good price. The hardest one to get seems to be the garage which I chased after for years and only got recently. They sell for about $250 - $350 on e-bay now.

Brad,

Thanks very much for the confirmation.

I never knew there was a 1st and 2nd Normandy Village.

These do not appear to be on this website with a lot of K&C retired items:

Here you go. But there are really 3 sets, not two.

Try Backlot Buildings - I think that was the first set. Brad may know the sequence. The backlot buildings have 2 facades. The one I like is BLB001.

There are 2 sets of Normandy village in the Normandy village section. The first set of Normandy village NV001-NV009 are drab grey. The second set of Normandy village NV010 - NV18 is the most recent set and are the ones I have
