K&C warbirds future releases (1 Viewer)

Great minds my friend, great minds.Did you see my dio of this?.Ron did one too which was very cool.

I'd love to see the P51B done in the Chequered nose style and with 'Big Beautiful Doll' written on it as is the one at IWM London, but that baby is a P51D so i don't think some collectors would think it accurate.

Rob

Yes i really liked your dio Rob thats just the way id like K&C to release there ME 109 bullet holes & damaged propeller

Thanks mate,i must say i had a ball weathering the aircraft,i'd never done it before and to start with it sure felt odd beating up a perfectly good model!

great list, i am a player on the fock wulf, but i would sure love to see a ju-52

I also think the Stuka will be another one thats great for dios,we don't see many Stukas in this scale,it'll be very welcome.

A JU-52 in 1/30 would be huge.:D I am not familier with polystone's strengths and weaknesses as they would apply to such a large wingspan. Could this be done? Even a P-38 would be a good size and a challenge I would think. -- lancer

I have the Corgi JU52 in 1:72 scale and it is a big model. I can't imagine it at 1:30, how heavy it would be, the cost of shipping it, or where it could be displayed. The plane has a wingspan of 96 ft or 8 ft at 1:30.

Yeah, I remember seeing Armour's 1/48 Ju-52 and B-17 and having to pass on them because of their size. I had nowhere to put them even at that size, much less 1/30! -- lancer

Hi Guys,

Many, many thanks for the fantastic response to our upcoming Hurricane. Since that announcement we’ve rec’d an avalanche of emails, faxes and some phone calls about future plans.

So here goes with what is already “in the works” and soon (very soon) to go “into the works”. After the Hawker Hurricane…in no particular order…

Mk. I Spitfire
Me. 109 “Emil”
FW 190 A-3
P51B “Mustang”
Hawker Typhoon
Ju 87 “Stuka”
P47 “Thunderbolt”

Plus a whole big bunch of “extras”

I look forward to discussing more details with many of you in Chicago.

Now, how’s that for a wee bit of “Shock ‘n’ Awe” done in the K&C way!

Best wishes and happy flying!!!
Andy C.

Awesome! I can't wait to see them starting with the Hurricane in Chicago.

congrats to K&C,what a list and the camo finishes are endless, hopefully the aircraft will have different poses for the pilots to make each aircraft unique in a collection, the day of Corgi and Hobbymaster are now surely numbered,K&C aircraft will surely become the benchmark in military aircraft even if the scale may be deemed unusual for the traditional aircraft collector as the 1.32 scale never proved entirely popular, for many reasons.I for one will not be letting any of these aircraft get away, even though i am one of the traditionalists, but we have to embrace change, now and again.

True, the 1:32 Corgi line never proved entirely popular. The limited edition Hurricanes, Mosquitos and Spitfires sold out. The Me109 and Mustangs (except fot Big Beautiful Doll) did not. Part of the scale was popular. The Hobby Bunker 1:32 has produced 3 versions of one US Pacific aircraft and all 3 are sold out.

I hope that K&C's list is not the end of their aviation adventure. I'd love to see the timeless classics of the RED BARON Triplane and a Billy Bishop Sopwith Camel because we all know a Canadian shot Richthofen down, ( kidding, just kidding I know it was our Aussie cousins groundfire! ):eek::eek:.
I think those planes would be a nice boost to the sales and interest in the WWI line which although heavy on groundtroops, lacks the variety of tanks, vehicles and artillery of the vast WWII line.

Cheers

The reasons for the relatively popularity of 1:32 scale probably apply to the same extent for 1/30; size and cost. That said, there would seem to be a nich but I don't think Hobby Master's days are numbered if they decide to continue since their detail and features have not yet been equaled for the price. Corgi left the 1/32 aircraft scale 3 years ago.

Well , you know that for decades the Red Baron's demise was credited either to ground fire or the Canadian Roy Brown, flying a Camel. Brown never specifically claimed Richthofen and many studies point to the actual victor as Australian ground fire at this point. Incidently, Bishop never flew a Camel in combat. All his work was done in Nieuports or SE-5's. Even so, I would also like to see WW1 aircraft, if feasible, as it is my favorite airwar. -- lancer

I agee with this. Hobby Master, Corgi, and Armour turn out superior diecast aircraft in the very popular 1/48 and 1/72 scales and these scales are going to stay around for a VERY long time. Many collectors have space considerations and the large variety of aircraft available in these scales virtually assure their survival, not to mention the tremendous amount of collectors who grew up with the smaller scale and will collect nothing else. -- lancer

I hope the aircraft that follow the Hurricane are " Planes of Aces" i know its cliche and other manufacturers still do it ,but would still be good to see them in 1.30th scale,This range has tremendous scope for K&C,the mind works overtime just thinking of all the possibilities this range can bring to the hobby and the K&C marque. This range could be even more popular than Napoleonics and WW2 Germans ( dare i say such a thing ),if K&C create depth to the range, collectors may dedicate their collection solely to the range.

I agree here (not sure about more popular than WW2 Germans),if this really does become an indepth range I might concentrate on just three ranges,RAF,D Day and Arnhem.Well until Andy makes Commandos of course;)
