Does anyone know how many of this item were produced, I understand them to be extremely rare, but does anyone know now rare?

If you had Volume I of the K&C Book, you would know the answer:

As of February, 1996, the para jeep, along with the rest of the first five highly detailed and beautifully finished wood "Normandy Fighting Vehicles", the Tiger, Stug IV, Hanomag, and Bren Gun Carrier, the two wood RAF vehicles, an Austin K2 Ambulance (in Blue, Green [rare] and desert tan [only 5 made]) and Bedford QL Fuel Bowser, appeared in both the flyer and the price lists. . . .

The para jeep, possibly the most beautiful jeep K&C ever produced, and at an original retail price (without any figures) of $179 certainly the most expensive and rarest jeep K&C produced, had such extraordinary details as a fully folding clear plastic windshield, side view mirror, gear shifts, field telephone and radio with antennae, gas can, axe and shovel, and 1st Para Pegasus plaque on the grill. I cannot state enough what a remarkable little vehicle this is. The jeep came in dark green with the allied star in a circle on the hood, and I.D. numbers stenciled on the side of the hood as well. According to one well respected dealer, one of these vehicles was custom made as an ambulance jeep. Less than 50 of these jeeps were made and sold.

Jamo, that Jeep is from the DD series around 2000, Scott was asking about the original "Para" Jeep from the Arnhem (AN) series released in 1996.

Sorry, was just getting a bit carried away with early allied K&C jeeps! Anyway, I remember visiting Mike at K&C UK around the time of the second edition of Arnhem being launched. They were beautiful figures / pieces at the time and still are.... (the first edition brochure is shown below)
I declined them to concentrate more on my WW2 Germans and Americans and then later the winter Russians and Germans - I guess I had a budget at the time and one range was enough for then. Where's that time machine when you need it?!

Why nothing to be sorry for, in my opinion! That little display was excellent,

and I certainly enjoyed seeing it along with quite a few collectors I'm sure!

With new collectors coming into the hobby every day, even todays releases

will shortly be the classic pieces for many!

You do not see the 1st Series Normandy Village appear that often on Ebay

anymore, and its always nice to see it again.
