I have only been in This hobby, For just Over a Year. And Has Bought more than My fair share Of Figures and Tanks. And for most every bit of that moment Has been filled with Joy and Awe with the the pieces I have, Whenever I look at each one, pretty much every single one (except for a few times, with other manufacturers) has Given Me Fulfilment And Happiness, at this great hobby Of Mine (Ours).
I have bought from Different Manufacturers, And Now I have to share my opinion, Of who is the best one Out there.
And it has to be King and Country, Every single piece That I have gotten from them, there has Not been any dissapointment:
No repainting.so that It will have depth (every single piece, there are no clashes with Other colors there is always a separation from each color, Which with another maker, I had to do a bit of retouching to do), always a "clean figures" is What I have With K&C miniatures.
No regluing pieces that broke off, from the shipping to me, or me just holding it (which is frustrating). When I touch/handle any K&C product, I know nothing will break off.
And Just because I had the opportunity to meet him, The Best Owner/ Manufacturer(because he does listen to our needs and wants in this hobby)/ Big avid Collector like Us/ And Approachable, and has that excitement in his voice when he talks about what to expect in this great hobby of ours(And if you ever met him, Its like looking at a kid (much like us), excited at the new toy That we are going to have, while talking about it. And all the endless possibilities to have).
So With King and Country, and With Andy At the helm. With the pieces we do buy, it Is really never a dissapointment. IMHO.

No doubt about it,they are the coolest Toy Soldiers on the market. The K&C style is bang on the money for me,there is lots of competition these days but K&C still rule the roost:cool:

Yes..i certainly agree, not that this statement is a slight to the work of other companies (lately i focused most of my purchases just on one of them ), but what company can release this amount of figures every given month in such number and quality?Just as previously posted on another thread , the last figure i received is the new Camp Follower, and if i look at the textures of her straw hat or basket or her features i think: that is a wonder !!! The only minor fault regarding K&C is in my wallet, not being able to buy more!!!!

Hi Guys,

In a few hours I’ll be flying off to London for the beginning of K&C’s “Annual European Tour” (London, Durham, Paris, Florence and Rome). Spot the odd one out!

Before I do I would just like to say a heartfelt thanks to “Spartan 71” and “Rob” for their kind and supportive words.

Sometimes in this hobby and business it might seem as if K&C gets more “brickbats” than “bouquets” from some of our critics.

However it really makes my day (and month) when I read how happy some of our collectors are.

In all humbleness we do try to get it right as often as we can. Sometimes we goof-up… other times we drop a “clanger”. But we always try to make it better… keep improving… and give the best value we can.

That’s my promise and commitment to you guys… collectors and dealers. As Spartan says I love this hobby and business and share your passion… As long as I’m around you can count on that.

So, once again a very big thankyou and see some of you in London… Durham… Paris… Florence… and Rome in a few days!

Very best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy C.

The odd one out is Paris. It is in France. All the others are either in England or Italy.:D

Does anyone know how to get a replacement for machinegun on the BBA030
halftrack, mine was bent and when I tried to straighten it out it broke.

I would probably organise it through the dealer you purchased it from. That way dealers are aware of any issues and K&C can send it to them with their next shipment.
I have always found K&C very quick to respond and sort out the problem although luckliy does not come up that much.
Regards
Brett

It was good to see Andy in London again on Saturday,he kindly took time to talk to many of us collectors and its always good to hear the views of the man at the top.Whilst we are talking K&C I'd also like to add that as well as the superior product they produce, the customer service is superb.Whether I am dealing with Andy or K&C UK my experience is only ever positive.I think its easy to forget how unusual it is to be able to communicate so easily with the people at the top of our favourite company.I remember in the old days I used to collect 1/6th scale figs from a well known company,if I sent them an email I could wait for six weeks for a reply and sometimes they simply never did.

Also at this point I'd like to thank one of the unsung heroes of K&C UK, the right Honourable Dispatch Dave.In nearly one hundred dispatched or show orders I have never had one damaged, chipped or bent item, and this is much appreciated.I've heard many horror stories over the years of orders arrriving in terrible shape, but its not something I need worry about:cool:.

I have to revisit this thread. And still up to now, It is still true IMHO They are still the best out there.
I am now collecting The ACW. And bought some pieces from another manufacturer (got the limited edition, plus a few more pieces of the Iron Brigade), And bought some of The K&C pieces. And the K&C pieces has more depth, The separation of the colors are more refined. The Command set from the other manufacturer, the skin tone/ color is in the hat, and the hat color is in the face (It is an easy fix, But here I am back. to old reliable K&C, Where the QC is more controlled). And looking forward to buy, as much of the new releases for the ACW, in June.
And just in case, I am still planning to buy some of the other Manufacturers pieces. Reason: I did say it was a limited edition. And I love those.

Hi Spartan71,

I too buy from various manufacturers.....I kinda just buy what I like (I'd I'm trying to narrow down what I like! :p). I agree w/ your opinion on who is the best when you look at all aspects. K & C brings me the the most satisfaction. The people behind their operation and their passion for what they do, the artistry, reliability, consistency, durability, variety of ranges, and just the overall happy vibe you get from Andy and Co. keeps them riding high at the top, IMHO. And this is no slight to any of the other incredible people making great stuff too; there are several manufacturers who I also enjoy and get excited about like a kid waiting for Christmas. But K & C just has the all around magic touch for me. There is a certain charm about their products that are just so darn appealing!:) Collecting and displaying their products has given me endless hours of fun. Being under that "spell" when other stressful things fall away is really quite priceless. Another point is we all seem to enjoy speculating on what might be next from K & C....that's a lot of fun too. But no matter what is coming to the pipeline, you know it will be good, even if it's not something of your particular collecting tastes. And you know that whatever they produce, it will make somebody's day!:) [Sidebar: I will wait patiently for my ancient Greeks as long as it takes:p. I'm quite certain it will be well worth the wait!] Right now I'm going to go play with some of my D-day British and Market Garden soldiers (awesome figures!) that my wife was so kind to get me for my birthday. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Spartan71 - enjoy your collection!

I completely agree with all that you said, K&C Is above everyone else. I am hoping with you about the greeks, that would be great!!, Happy Birthday to You!!
And, may we always get some if not all , Of the Things we want.:D

I'd have to agree about the high standard of the Camp Follower, she's SO GOOD, with fine deatiled scuplting and a fine line with the painting. I do like the French touch of the tricolor skirt, and the different finish of the paintwork to give us a natural finish for matt parts, and the gloss for others such as the bottles of wine... what vintage are they? They sure look like a top drop....

This 'lady' is now positioned near the group of seated French Cavalry and the drinking Cuiasseur, the Cantinier and a Dragoon Officer, and thats what I alo like.... the mix and match and the ability to pruchase individual figures to make your own sets up..

NOT dissapointed :)

John

John the Cantiniere is one of my favorites along with the Napoleonic Christmas set. K&C brings out the King. Long live the King!

Rah-rah, If I did this thread on the Manufacturer's thread. They pretty much will tell me to buzz off. They do not see, that there could have been more depth (by adding a shade or highlight color)as a finishing touch. Like K&C does.
