The so far 10 releases of the Petticoats are very nicely done figures and a welcome addition for the non-combat collectors.
What is the future of this line? Will we see more Petticoats in 2010?
Thanks for any info.

Konrad,

I agree with you--these figures are great! I was surprised when I saw them. They go very well with some of the Redcoats/Bluecoats and like you, I am hoping there will be more in 2010.

Hi Konrad:

As a collector of Imperial's Town and Around range the Petticoats series is near and dear to me (there are plans to eventually expand it to civilian men, children etc. like Town and Around). As you say - it was a welcome change from combat/military figures and they also went nicely with Redcoats and Bluecoats.

Our intent is to keep adding to the range but at a slower pace. There will be no new ones in the February catalog but look for more later in 2010. The logic there is that while they have done well with our core collectors the intent was to begin exposing "toy soldiers" to female collectors through gift shops - this has been a slow but fruitful process - so we want to give the range a bit more time as it stands to make inroads into this new group of collectors before adding many more new ones.

Best Regards,

Richard

Thank you for the update and glad to hear about future plans and more civilian figures. I would love to see some civilians, especially some African Americans, added to the matte ACW line which would be a great enhancement to dioramas.

Maybe Wendy will see the thread and post some info, if I'm not mistaken, she paints them for Britains.

Prost!

Richard,
thank you very much for the reply and info given.
Later next year is perfectly fine. I am just happy to learn that the line will not only continue but expand too.
Very good news!

Ken is much better informed than I, not to mention Richard... :)

I am a little confused; they are gloss are they not? If so shouldn't this be in the Britains Gloss thread?

We had a few couples coming over and celebrating Christmas Eve with us.
Here they are :D
