I'm wondering if we may get some US troops for this theatre in the summer. If this is the case (;))which would you like to see?.Big Red 1,29th Inf Div or more of the US Paras?.The four Paras in opened chutes could be the forerunner to more of these?.

Got to be 101st airborne troops for me, missed out on the older stuf K&C made so hoping we will get some US Paras in the not to distant future.

The BR1 figures are some of the best that K&C have done. The poses are superb, can't beat that urban action stuff. That said, I'd go some Airborne as well. It's all good. :)

I missed most of the earlier paratroopers too and would love to see more, in action and getting ready for action/at rest. I am working on a small diorama to fill up a base I purchased at a show. So far, I have one 101st guy and his German prisoner. I need more paratroopers for it!! The guy I have is getting kind of scared, being out there alone. He still has his cricket in case any more show up.

Don't forget the 4th ("Ivy") Division from Utah Beach and the 82nd ("All American") Airborne Division, the other two assault divsions. I don't think K&C has ever done any 4th Division troops.

Just curious here, how many of you guys would be that worried about the actual units the figures belonged to?

I mix the 82nd and 101st depending on what poses look good together (appreciating there was a certain amount of inter unit mingling in the first few days following D-Day). Same thing with US Infantry and I'm more than happy mixing the latest Brit and Canadian Infantry, despite what insignia is being worn.

Just wondered how important the unit idntification was to collectors.

I think it would be a shame not to mix some of them Simon,I happily mix the Brits and Canadians and they look superb together.

I hope Andy makes this year the 4th ("Ivy") And the 90th (Tough Ombres) Division from Utah Beach.

I would not mind mixing units for a diorama. It is tough sometimes to find enough figures of the same unit for a large diorama. I do try to at least have all units that fought in that theater.

1) re: Correct units - I find it annoying sometimes, but I haven't repainted anybody (yet). I did find it annoying when we had a bunch of US 3rd Infantry Division troops in the "DDay" series. Since they didn't serve in Normandy, I keep thinking "C'mon buy a #%^&* book!".

2) Hawkeye, the M8 Howitzer Motor Carriage will be coming from another supplier. Andy still can make one, but that's his choice.

2nd Ranger Battalion at Pointe Du Hoc and the 5th Ranger Battalion along with the 29th Infantry Division at Dog Green Sector Omaha Beach. :)

Excellent choices! Rangers at Pointe Du Hoc and 29th ID are 2 of my top ones as well!

Dear Rob:

I just started a D-Day diorama on a about 39 inch across round display table late in 2009. I have enough Germans now, but I need a lot more US Army First Divison Infantry foot figures!!!!!!

Nice photo. I think the fellow to the right of the photo must be part of the cooks and bakers section of the battalion headquarters company, he hasn't missed any meals :)
