FIGARTI vs K&C (4 Viewers)

Just had a look at the new releases by Figarti ,and am in need of some advise regarding size compatability...:confused: Ernie... Sorry figures only..

I have the Figarti Honey and the figures are true 54, smaller than K & C so there is a difference. Sculpting, the K & C figures are superior. I believe, as has been mentioned here, that with respect to figures, they have some catching up to do.

I have almost every one of their figures, and they are not compatible with K&C. I did a mini review of their figures under Figarti / Special thanks to Battle Scene Productions Thread. You can also see them used in Dioramas there. If you have any other questions feel free to Private Message me.

On the flip side, I believe Carlos (desk11desk12) did put a K & C Tiger and Figarti Tiger prototype side by side and the size differential wasn't significant. It is possible that K & C figures may go with Figarti vehicles without looking really out of kilter.
 
Why don't all of the manufacturers go to 1/31 scale then everything will be compatible:D Firebat

You're right Brad,

Here are the comparisons again courtesy of Mark Vuncannon, (Build-A-Rama). The camo Tiger I is Figarti's and winterized Tiger is KC's.

Figarti figures are slightly smaller than K & C but I understand there is some variance in both product sizes as demonstrated by other members complaining some of their K & C figures were to small.

As more the detail issue, K & C are currently better overall, but Figarti figures are improving with each release so it won't be long before they are much the same detail wise.

For example the Figarti "Japanese Cannon Troops" from their Bataan range looks to be a great set to nicely complement their terrific Type 89 150 Cannon. Btw I have just noticed the cannon is currently on Treefrog Treasures website for only USD $59, which seems a very cheap cannon considering the extraordinary detail on it. I think I'll have to get one.

Edit: based on the pics from Carlos, the differences are apparently bugger all - an Aussie technical term for not much :)

Plus the hatches actually open and shut and of course the entire tank opens up in layers revealing the interior and the tank crew.

I just receieved my 150mm Japanese Cannon and Crew from Figarti . I saw them in Chicago and thought is was a well done piece. I think the painting on the figures is their BEST effort to date. The figures are nice , in my opinion ( or even I hesitate to say - an edge better ) than KNC. The figures are weathered better. I just do not like the sculpting as much as KNC. I love the set , it sits on my self here in my office underneath a JG Miniatures tall palm. I do recommend it.
 
KC is still the KING (no pond intended) in overall quality and I'll continue to purchase approx. 95% of all of there WWII figure sets. Why? I like them.

However, my purchases of Figarti has jumped dramatically over the last year because the quality and detailing of there new releases continues to improve significantly, especially since last March with their new Iraqi War releases and followed up more recently with the US Pacific Marines, Vietnam War era Marines, Baatan 150mm artillery sets, etc. I love there new WWII Marine LVT’s.

KC sculpts are still best, however, Figarti sculpts are improving and don’t depend partially on “line painting” to define the figures and their figure painting is terrific! Pictures on the Internet don’t do justice; you need to pick them up and look at them. Best of all, Figarti is 1/32!

As Louis said previously, Figarti tanks are the best. Aside from the Tiger I release coming up, I very much look forward to seeing what else Figarti is working on for 2007.

I am really surprised to see the almost total lack of size difference between the Figarti (1:32 scale) and K&C (1:30 scale) Tigers. Somebody is fudging up their scale calculations!

The barrel on the Fig Tiger seems a lot shorter for some reason.

Yeah, the gun barrell seems to be shorter on the Figarti Tiger or is it that KC Tiger tank body closer to 1/32 than its barrell?

I thought this photo might be of interest, as it shows the size of the crew in relationship to the tank. It appears that the Tiger was a large tank indeed.

From the relation in size between the crew and the Tiger in that photo, it looks like both of the K&C and Figarti Tigers are at most 1:32 scale.
