Woke up today with a pone call from Scott McCabe (IONA)!:D

He dropped off the King and Country 3 D-Day paratroopers hanging from chutes at my house!:D

They are brilliant!:D:D:D

I am going to keep them in the box until the extension and loft conversion is finished and then they will be jumoing!!:D

Thanks again mate!:D

Nice one Scott,they are a superb release,really cool figures:cool:

Just take it slow when unwinding the chutes.

No problem Scott :D:D
Rob that was the first thing i said to young Scott :D:D
British paras sound excellent for dday :D:D
Regards Scott

Have we heard what the new line is going to be from King & Country - since a certain range is being retired ? ;) :p

Yes I have. The new range is going to be numbered either MGGxxx for Market Garden Germans or ANG for Arnhem Germans. It will provide some historical opposition to the British and Polish paras and create new interest in the Arnhem range allowing the MG range to continue expanding. :D

Terry

Of course if Terry"s comments about MGG are true there will be a run up on all the old and relatively new Market Garden figures, which are Brits and Poles.
Stay tuned to Ebay.
We certainly don't have enough german figures to fight Three World War II
wars.
I wonder if anyone ever heard of the Russian Army in WWII? As has been said before, it is what sells that drives the production of a given line.
Too bad the allies didn't have as colorful uniforms as the germans or am i overlooking a more obvious or more subtle point of view?
If you look at the major companies featured on this forum, with the exception of John Jenkins, which company has not entered the toy soldier market with anything but more german figures and vehicles(excuse me First Legion but you did lead off with NAPS)?And which company has not tried to outproduce the others with variations of the same figures and vehicles of the german army, navy and air force?
So it goes.

I would have thought to expand the Arnhem range MGXXX could mean 30 corps figures ,MGG could mean Frunsberg, hohenstaufen and 1st Parachute army figures.Grabners attack on the Arnhem Bridge and SS Pioneers fighting in Arnhem would make sense.Tanks,Softskins and soldiers of the Guards Armoured Brigade fighting against German Paras on Hells Highway could give the range eternal life.
