I am getting ready to start painting some Russian Napoleonics. Which shade of Green should I use? I would also like to paint some Italian Grenadiers that were allied to the French. Which shade of Green would I need to use for those as well? I will order what I need if it is Vallejo, but If I could use Ceramcoat or games workshop, that would be okay too. Help me out guys, what two shades do I need?

Awww I can't give up all my secrets:eek: I would shoot for flat green and then a dark green for shading purposes.

I use Vallejo flat green on my Napoleonic Russians.....just my 2 cents worth :D

do you use any wash or shading?

I might use some ink on faces and hands but thats about it....All figures are primed black then painted.
p.s if i want shading for say white pants then it goes like this..Black primer then light grey then dry brush on white.

I spurged and bought liquitex paint from Michael's. Great paint, but pricey. They make a sap green that I think will look good. They also make a Prussian Blue that I am going to use on my prussians.
