Have you ever bought a King & Country Set then later sold that set - due to value or change of Collecting habits - Only to turn around a few months/years later re-buy the same Set ! ? !

Yes, bought the Matilda for $100, sold it for $250, then later bought another for $225...Did not realize that I had fallen in love with it....Michael

I bought a k&c lovat commandos set for £90, i then sold it for £140 on ebay. I then picked another one up a month later for £55 and it was mint. all the tissue paper was still on and you could tell it had not been opened or displayed.

Probably one of my best buys from ebay and one of my favourite sets.

Dear "Capitolron":
So far I have never regreted any of my sales and purchased the same set back again. However, there have been times I wish I would have waited a bit more before selling. This was especially true with regards to trophy Miniatures sets I sold in 2005 on eBay. If I would have only waited until just after the end of 2006 when Trophy went out of business I would have gotten profits instead of losses!

I hear you IB - I hear you !

I have let a few things go to early myself.

Just recently I bought the AK11 - Standing Patrol - at a very good price. I sold this a while back when I changed my diorama of my AK figures - then I changed my diorama again a year later and kicked myself for letting the set go the first time. Lucky for me I got a second chance on them - they will never leave again - I hope ;)

So far I have only sold (retired Naps) doubles that I had acquired at a very good price :)

Yes I have done this a few times. I kinda regret getting rid of my Crusaders but cant do nothing about that now.

I must be in a minority here but I never sell my K&C,I buy to keep.

Rob

Well said ,Rob,i couldnt sell any of mine, would rather sell the car ,furniture, dog, wife and waines and the cat first, wait a minute dont have a cat, well you know what i mean ,please dont ask me in which order, but my K&C stuff would be last, must go here comes the removal guys for the furniture, needs must, the white slave traders are coming later but for whom? ken

I will be selling some of my older sets and ones which don't fit the direction my collection has gone in. There are a few duplicate sets and some sets which are so similar, I really want to keep only one of them.

Absolutely Ken,I only buy stuff I really want and therefore it stays in my collection,of course when I'm dead my wife will go nuts and sell the lot for a nice holiday, but until then it stays where it is:D;)

Rob

Takes me to long to save for the sets I want, not selling them.

Mine, Mine, Mine. as my 2 yr old would put it.

No, and no.

K&C doesn't make anything for any of the periods I collect, except Hessians, but the officers have moustaches, and I can't get past such a glaring inaccuracy. :D

Prost!

Oops:eek::rolleyes:

I have sold them . I have regretted selling some of them. I have bought multiples by mistake. I have not yet re bought any that I have sold.

I only buy them, I will let my heirs sell them.

Although I have sold some of my Timpo sets, to buy other Timpo sets.

I have to say that sometimes if I am getting out of a range I will sell but all of my WW2 items will stay with me.Simmo.
