I don't really want to go into a new range but this line coming looks like it's going to be good.I like wintery ranges and this fits the bill.:D Medieval Highlanders sound real good too. This is going to be a great year in the toy soldier world.

Hi Mark - I hear ya...the new Romans, Barbarians and Medieval figures look like they're going to be special indeed. I'm anxious to hear reports of the painting of the new Conte Zulu's, because RC mentioned these are the first figures painted at a new factory. In any case, I'll be all over the aforementioned figures whenever the presales begin. I'm really looking forward to it :D!

Joe

I hope Conte puts some pictures of more sets up soon.

So far this year I'm only collecting Jenkins BOS series.I've decided not to collect the Sudan series from Jenkins and Britains (probably will regret this).Matt from First Legion says somethings coming out in a few months that I will really like. Not collecting Conte's Zulus. Will check out Conte's Highlanders. The Roman/Barbarian series has perked my interest more than any other so far this year BUT it's only January.:eek:

Hi Mark, Yes I've been watching the FL thread closely (the thread where Matt suggested that you hold on just a bit longer and save your $ because a soon to be announced future line may be more of your true pursuits). I'm on pins & needles wondering what this line might be, and I've almost jumped in a few times w/ an initial FL buy even though they have yet to manufacture my ideal subjects. Someone else, I think Spitfrnd, analyzed this even closer (ty!) and was able to come up w/ a short list of possible candidates for the next FL series based on information obtained from your prior posts (and then Matt mentioned that you also collect FIW just to complicate things a bit more :p). Anyways, I know this isn't a FL thread, and began more a less as an anticipatory discussion about forthcoming Conte ranges, but I had to respond to your mention of FL, because I thought you might get a kick out of knowing how close some people are watching for the announcement right along w/ you. :)

Joe

Yeah Joe I'm watching FL closelyTo see what they come out with.If it's a FIW range I might have to pass on the Roman/ Barbarian range.Decisions decisions.:p:):D

Awesome, hopefully some updates soon.

Is it me or is that Roman shield being splintered?

I think these figures look splendid though I will probably pass on them as my Romans are busy fighting the Gauls and Persians. I am not looking for snowy bases.

Aw come on Chris, throw some dirt or grass on it.:D:D:D

It's always such a pleasure to see you at play Joe and can't wait to see what else you have in store for us.....The Lt.
