Forthcoming Dispatches...Just for Simmo! (1 Viewer)

I would like to see some more Skinner's Horse. A buglar, a regimental and national color, etc. I wouldn't even mind another regiment altogether. -- Al

My money is on Union cavalry. I would like to see more Confederate infantry in new, clean, all-gray uniforms.

I wonder if it is good timing to release a line of Union ACW Cavalry on the heels of Wm. Britains rolling out a line of dismounted Union Cavalry this summer and a June pre order announcement of 11 dismounted Union Cavalry by First Legion. I do know that K&C gets great attention and has a huge following. I won't complain if the Union Cavalry is introduced in a May, June or later K&C 2010 dispatch. A most collectible era and branch. Lots of variations and ways to approach this depiction as well. Either way we will get the data come Saturday won't we.

ACW Union troops are due..........
WWII landing craft..............
Crusaders..............
French Napoleonic infantry way overdue!!!!!

Really looking forward to the RAF/USAAF/Luftwaffe additions....in that order. :) As the traditional D-Day releases are looming nearer I'm filled with excitement about what we'll see next.......I'd be happy with just about anything really.

Rob> JUST FOR SIMMO. That title is a bit out of place as you post forthcoming releases every month since I can remember. But you stay on mate and don't leave .Simmo.

Strange, when I read this, I thought that this is exactly what I would do if I was running K&C  ... there's always something to be gained for being first to market :)

Being first to market is always huge. Many a product has made it's mark while doing so while the second entrant not as well. King & Country has the flexibility to respond to market conditions as warranted.

I don't know if first to market has the same impact when several companies announce similar lines at the same time. I would think there is more likelihood that being forewarned gives collectors the opportunity to choose.

Its good for us right now as we do have a wide choice of products to choose from.In my WW2 collecting I've always set pretty strict mixing criteria with my figures, but maybe with my ACW/Sudan collections I may loosen up a bit and try mixing, the results should be interesting.

I really like the diversity that we have seen in some of the dispatches recently, specifically RAF, Kriegsmarine and USAAF. However, and I know this has been mentioned before (I think by you Rob), but I think it would be very interesting to see a British civilian line representing those that helped to fight the war on the homefront. I believe that through their determination and resolove, they did as much to win the Battle of Britain and defeat Hitler as did the RAF pilots who commanded the skys over the channel.

OK a stupid question, but I haven't been paying much attention, do the Dispatches come out at a particular time in the month?

Usually the first part of the month. I'm guessing Monday.
