I’m from the Los Angeles, now living in San Antonio, TX. I regularly attend the West Coaster/ Irvine, CA in March, Chicago Show in September and now the Texas Show in May.

I’m wondering if one was to have infinite time and money to put together a Toy Soldier Trip, which would be the best shows, when, where and why?

I would go to 3 shows. Chicago would be #1 because it's the biggest, lasts several days and has lunches and dinners with Figarti and K&C and get to meet a lot of the US collectors, Andy and Rick.

#2 would be London at Christmas. It's only a one day show, but would see product from many small manufacturers whose stuff doesn't make it to America. And London would be a nice place to visit just before Christmas.

#3 would be the New York Symposium - meet the hard core collectors, some of the manufacturers, and see some one-of-a-kind pieces.

I think that sums it up nicely Terry, I would go along with that tour :)

Terry...
Been to all three myself, and would highly recommend it to anyone that can do it. Shoe horning in the West Coaster once in a while is nice too.

I've been to several Chicago/OTSN and Irvine/Westcoaster shows. Both great shows and venues in their own right.

I would like to attend a London show one day for the same reason as someone said in a prior post... to see some unique, cottage-industry products that you don't get to see at the shows here in the States... I have only seen pictures of these products posted by forum members who have attended these shows and I am grateful for the pictures. It would be great to see and appreciate these items in person... :)
