I sent you pictures of 6 and 8 awhile ago when you told me you were interested in them, you'll be able to see both live at the OTSN show in September (unless you are hanging ten on a beach somewhere on your surfboard instead)...........................

Well I bought those elsewhere and no longer have the pics.

I may be listing them on Ebay since the lender on the new home requires 25% down as this will be considered an investment home...believe me this is a tough decision as part of my searching for a home included seeking one with lots of places to put soldiers...sacrifice's will need to occur! I may be canceling my other auctions with no bids and list them as some have suggested (individually)

The feeling of selling the sets is like losing a pet of 14 years...no joke!

Mark,

Are you talking about photos of actual items or just scans of brochures? I don't think numbers 6 and 8 were in brochures but are on Sager's site. PM 22 might also be available that way.

Photos I can use as ad photo's on Ebay.

Still not sure if you want photos of the actual item or brochure scans.

Considering that those sets are of the vintage variety, wouldn't you be better served using actual photos of the sets to also be fair to the buyer?

Not much of an Ebay seller or buyer, but I'd be hesistant to bid on something as rare as those sets with a stock photo.

Something you can relate to, right, considering how much of a stickler you are about box and figure condition and all.

Glad you found the sets elsewhere.................

I'm not near those items for 5 more days...though they are all in the original K&C boxes except the first of the few are in a green K&C box rather than the pictured box and includes churchill...I think some must have came in the green box because it looks to be fit by the foam/packing for the solders? Nevertheless if these don't sell I'm not losing any sleep as they are my favorites.:)

I know you're trying to get the max you want these sets but why don't you try selling them here for what you want to get. If you don't sell any, you won't be any worse off than if you hadn't offered them.

Mark mate,
I looked at all your lots and there were quiet a few that had sets in them that I would like, but I was not prepared to bid for the lot as I have never sold a K&C set on Ebay and do not ever intend to do so.
I think you missed the boat with the genuine collector out there who is buying to build a collection rather than buying for the re-sale market.
Also you need to check out the available international postal rates. There are for example three that can be used to Australia. USPS First Class, USPS Priority and USPS Express. Three different prices and insurance contents. Some Ebayers will only send by USPS Priority because of the insurance content, but I have for three years now, dealt with Ebayers and Dealers from all over the US and found that even the cheaper USPS First Class gets to me in Australia in four working days with no problems.
Hope this helps you with your problem. :)
Cheers from the Land Downunder, Howard

Howard,

I'm working on resolving this issue and listing them individually.

I replied to your email earlier regarding shipping...please use this email markeylock@gmail.com if you have further questions about me shipping to you.

Hi Howard,

Thanks very much for listing the USPS International Postage options for US sellers.

USPS First Class International:

This is the most economical and often the fastest way to ship an item less than 4 lb. The downsides are no tracking and no insurance.

Example: For 2 lb package, cost is $18.66 USD to Singapore

USPS Priority International:

This is at least twice the cost compared to First Class and may take up to 2 weeks. Most dealers and sellers prefer this as it offers tracking and insurance.

Example: For 2 lb package, cost is $35.00 USD to Singapore

USPS Express International:

This is the most costly of all three, but it is fast in just 2 to 4 days. It goes without saying.....tracking and insurance are included.

Example: For 2 lb package, cost is $41.50 USD to Singapore

The only issue was when a seller added China to my address and the package went walkabout to Shanghai. Fortunately, Shanghai Post re-directed the package to the Republic of Singapore. Despite all this, the total transit time was 22 days.

It has been good so far with no packages lost in transit.

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Markey,

I've scanned the back cover from a June '98 Toy Soldier and Model Figure Magazine..... shows the band and the other troops so I've emailed it to you.

Hope that helps, and those old magazines have great images of the older sets, so if there are any others, let me know I may have them!

kind regards,

John

John, I do appreciate the picture...it seems like my set has more leopard skin & different clothing all together???...I'm going to wait until I get back and photo this one in person.

Thank You!

If anyone from this forum wants to bid on any of my items listed on Ebay from an international overseas location and knows somebody here on the forum who can bid on their behalf please do so...I will then send a seperate invoice to the overseas member...this will allow you guys to bid without me opening up all my auctions to the rest of the world.

I will only ship "USPS EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL" No exceptions! No complaints!...I will include a USPS reciept with shipment.

Is this fair enough?

I still need a picture of Hitler and 3 officers and the Royal Marine Drum Bugle Band if anyone can dish it out?

Mark,

Thanks. Yes, it is fair enough.

Just a suggestion only.....have you checked out eBay's Buyer Requrements Exemption List ?

You can maintain your eBay listings for United States bidders/buyers only and yet allow selected non-US residents to bid by using this:

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderPermitLogin

Therefore, if a member in Australia wants to bid, you can add his eBay User ID to the list and his bids can get through.

It obviates the need for a "middle man" and makes for tidier transaction.

Raymond,

This is good to know...so if there is anyone here from overseas who wants to bid on my auctions and agrees to pay actual shipping costs for the USPS Express International rates as previosly posted please just let me know your Ebay user I.D name. I will add you to this list Raymond has informed me of.

Thanks again Raymond!
