WS19 (W) Kubelwagon on Ebay (1 Viewer)

I still think the initial WS- W sets are the best- between them and the Bulge sets-this is a great grab for someone doing the Bulge or Stalingrad.

I listed a rare and limited WS19 (W) Kubel on Ebay and have the starting price at $99

I hope it sells for more than this:confused:

Dear "MarkeyMaker":
With nearly 5 days (as of nearly mid night CSTof Nov 10th) to go with this eBay auction of the K&C set# WS19(W) it is at $153.00 already. I am sure it will go much higher for it's final sales price. I sold my K&C WS19(W) back in July 2005 for $455.00 on eBay! Let's see what happens.

I think the WS19 (W) Kubelwagon auction will do well...regarding interest in the item/s...of most auctions that I have had on eBay I think this one holds the record for wacthers (31) with only 88 page views. The Japanese Artillery set (IWJ013) I have listed also is doing well with (11) watchers and 18 page views...the ratio of watchers vs. viewers is being won by the Artillery set...I would have thought the opposite?

Dear MarkeytMaker":
As I recall back to 2005 I was told by my local toy soldier dealer that the K&C WS19(W) was out only about one year when it was retired by K&C. Between February and July of 2005 I was selling excess items via a local eBay consignment seller. The seller was amazed at the final price of $455.00! On August 1, 2005 I purchased my first digital camera. On August 2, 2005 I became my own eBay seller with listing assorted items with photos. By this time I was well aware of the high prices many retired K&C sets went for and starting in August 2005 I did not have to pay anyone any sales commissions. While there may be some negative issues with eBay it still is the best market by far for selling toy soldiers I think.

A few years back I sold much of my Iwo Jima or K&C IWJ sets. I got big prices on the US Marines but only broke even on the Japanese Army sets. However, more recently the Japanese sets seem to be getting better resale prices as well.

Andy made only small amounts of the Stalingrad series. They were extremely limited. Normal runs at that time for most items didn't usually exceed 500. I did a search and some of the numbers are as follows (this was given to me by Andy):

Tiger 100

Panther Between 100 and 200, most likely 100

Stug, Hanomag and 88 200

Kubelwagen 100

Figure sets Between 300 and 400 (not more than 500 he estimates)

There is another WS19 on eBay listed after this one.

The driver and paint finish look different, but it comes with the original box.

It has passed the $200.00 mark with 11 bidders.

How many types of Kubes did K&C make over the years ?

Raymond.

He has made several. There was a resin Kubel that came with two different drivers so you could say there were two different kinds. Then, there are the two WS 19s. There was a FOB version, a winter one and the one with the guy doing you know what. There is now the AK version, recently issued. I think there may have been another one but I'm not sure as I'm going from memory.

Brad, is the regular "non-winter" WS19 as rare and limited to the 100 made WS19 (W) I have listed?

Mark,

It shouldn't be but you don't often see it on eBay so it does go for a lot of money.

Need to make a correction. There was a FOB version and a WS version but what I was thinking of was the Schwimmwagen so scratch the last part of that comment from the list.

In addition, there was also a very early resin Kuble for the AK series.
