Ww 2 ????????? (1 Viewer)

It kind of looks like the 1/30th guys have chased Wm Britains out of the WW2 market. That's most unfortunate as many of us still like 54mm scale.

Gary B.

Too much competition perhaps. When it was just them and K & C, my first set of any WW II was their Paras with bren gun sets. Very nice. Still like them quite a bit.

It's sad for those of us who invested in past figures/vehicles, Etc to have nothing in the future to add to this line. Kind of a waste.

It's the end of the year remember guys, the new lineup won't be out until February. Hang in there I am sure you haven't been forgotten.

Re: WW 2 ?????????

One would think regardless of how many manufacturesand or scales are on the block, if you create a unique pose or set of figures, with a reasonable price, people will buy. They went great with FOV and 21st Century vehicles.

Look at the new guy on the block, First Legion.

The 2010 catalogue had one WWII figure, an SAS from the North African campaign. It's almost 2011.... What happened to the only 2010 piece? I fear their WWII days are done. At least Old Northwest is introducing some WWII.

I've just started buying the British WW2 figures & hope they make some more

To be honest i am still trying to catch up with all the ww2 stuff that is still oustanding to complete WW2 collection and space is getting tight, so the less new stuff that comes out for 2011 the better in my case. I know w.britains will come out with new stuff , you can trust this brand the people currently behind it know there stuff.

sombody mentioned that there is a WW2 SAS desert soldier released this year? did not know this - does anyone else have more information.

Thanks Britains for some lovely sets these last few years

I think that other manufacturers like Figarti have overpowered the WWII market, and that Britains decided that it would be better to invest in other series. I think it was probably a wise choice overall, and those who collect WWII WBriatin could either try a new series (Sudan, WWI, and Durbar are all relatively new, and would be easy to catch up on) or collect some Figarti or K&C.... Best of luck,
Sandor
