Giving a shout out to my homie from the best coast!!
Mac Daddy and I have been working up a titanic trade over the last month regarding he sending me some of his KCC Romans and Barbarians and I sent him some KC WW2 sets. Suffice to say, it was all my pleasure dealing with the Mac. This trade culminated last night when my wife called and said "There is some massive box outside the house from California"- I was super thrilled. I have now added several Romans and Barbarians to my never ending horde of chaos, mayhem and imperialism
One word for you collectors out there- if you are feeling the cash pinch, as I have, consider working trades with fellow collectors out here. I have not spent a dime of my own money sine the HAck show on any toy soldier purchases- yet, I have received the Figarti Abrams, a Figarti US Army soldier set, and nearly 2 dozen Romans and Barbarians to the mix- all by either trading or using ebay to sell off sets that may not be neccesary anymore. I also have another trade in the works with another member- again, for more Romans.
In fact, the wheeling and dealing is so good, I will not have actually had to pull cash from my paychecks till perhaps late March when I pick up an Andrea set I have out on consignment- seeing how Hack was in November, that would be nearly a 6 month period of not spending a single dime on the hobby but just recycling funds already spent- something to think about.
Again, McKenna77- you are the man- thanks again for the great deal!! That mounted Roman Counsel looks fantastic and is easily one of my favorite pieces.
