STOLEN CONTE GOODS BEING SOLD ON EBAY !!!!!!!!!!

IN A WEEK WHEN THE LEGAL NEWS OF THE TOY SOLDIER WORLD SEEMINGLY COULDN'T BECOME MORE BIZARRE...
WE ARE SAD TO ANNOUNCE THAT CONTE COLLECTIBLES HAS BEEN STOLEN FROM & OUR STOLEN GOODS ARE LISTED ON EBAY.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY CONTE PRODUCT FROM THE SELLER (WITHOUT FIRST CHECKING WITH US) AS YOU MAY BECOME A PURCHASER OF STOLEN GOODS. WE WOULD HATE TO GET YOU INVOLVED IN THE LEGAL PROCESSES WHICH ARE BEING COMMENCED AS WE INTEND TO RECOVER ALL ITEMS AND /OR COLLECT DAMAGES.

THE SELLER , HAS BEEN BUYING CONTE GOODS STOLEN BY ONE OF OUR EMPLOYEES. ACCORDING TO THE 'CAUGHT' EMPLOYEE, "BS..." HAVE BEEN COMING TO HIS HOME & PAYING HIM CASH FOR VARIOUS CONTE FIGURES, TERRAIN PIECES AND MISCELLANEOUS OTHER PRODUCTS INCLUDING NON-CONTE ITEMS WHICH WERE THE PERSONAL PROPERTY OF OLE R.C.. ONE OF THE ITEMS IS THE PROPERTY OF PAL & FAMED SCULPTOR KEN OSEN.

WE HAVE PEACEFULLY AND PROFESSIONALLY ATTEMPTED TO RECOVER OUR STOLEN PROPERTY FROM "BS..."EVEN OFFERING TO REIMBURSE THEM FOR THE AMOUNT PAID TO THE EMPLOYEE IN EXCHANGE FOR THE GOODS.... BUT HAVE BEEN RUDELY REBUKED ; THE EMPLOYEE TELLS US HE EVEN SPOKE WITH 'BS..' TWICE TODAY(2/10/11) IN AN EFFORT TO GET THEM TO RETURN THE STOLEN ITEMS BUT WAS RUDELY MET WITH SOME OUTRAGEOUS DEMANDS.(THESE PHONE RECORDS WILL BE OF GREAT INTEREST TO THE COURTS)

AS A RESULT, WE'VE BEEN LEFT WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO COMMENCE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL ACTIONS AS WELL AS ACTIONS WITH EBAY AND PAYPAL. OVER A DOZEN ITEMS WERE REPORTED TO EBAY AS STOLEN AND 2 OTHER ITEMS HAVE NOW BEEN DISCONTINUED BY THE SELLER(AFTER WE COMPLAINED). WE BELIEVE THE DELETION OF A COUPLE OF THESE ITEMS SPEAKS VOLUMES(INTERESTINGLY, THESE INCLUDE ONE BIZARRELY CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN BOUGHT IN A PARKING LOT IN CHICAGO*.....)

IT APPEARS THAT SCORES OF CONTE ITEMS HAVE BEEN SOLD IN A SIMILAR MANNER DURING 2010. OUR EMPLOYEE ADMITS TO HAVING SOLD ZULU PROTOTYPE SETS VIA 'BS...'

WE INTEND TO VIGOROUSLY PURSUE ALL ACTIONS AND TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS AND TO RECOVER DAMAGES FOR THE ITEMS CURRENTLY LISTED AS WELL AS THOSE SOLD PREVIOUSLY.

WE APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE IF ANY OF YOU BECOME INVOLVED. IF YOU ARE BIDDING ON ANY OF THESE ITEMS, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO CANCEL YOUR BIDS IMMEDIATELY AND SAVE YOURSELF ANY INVOLVEMENT IN THE LEGAL MATTERS WHICH ARE NOW SADLY AFOOT.

WHO GOES BY THE NAME "B...." AND REPORTEDLY RESIDES IN M......., CALIFORNIA. OUR EMPLOYEE'S WRITTEN ADMISSIONS AND OTHER STATEMENTS DIRECTLY CONTRADICT STATEMENTS MADE BY 'BS...". WE WILL LEAVE IT TO THE COURTS TO EVALUATE THE VERACITY OF "BS.."S COMMENTS VERSUS THOSE OF THE EMPLOYEE.

WE THANK THE SEVERAL COLLECTORS AND 2 DEALERS WHO HAVE BROUGHT 'BS...' OFFERINGS TO OUR ATTENTION. WE DEPEND UPON YOU TO HELP PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE COMPANY & ITS' PRODUCTS AND WILL BE SENDING YOU A 'THANK YOU REWARD' FOR YOUR ALERTING US TO THE WRONGDOING. YOUR HONESTY IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

Conte's had some bad luck with his people. Aside from this and the 'issues' he wrote about that caused him to get more hands on again, there was also a fellow that promised vehicles (10 + years ago?). I remember there were things like Wirblewinds but when I chased it up Conte wrote that the the guy had been a crook and no vehicles would be coming - at least I think this was Conte???? Or was it CTS??? Hmmmm....
 
So bizarre. I would remove the user id from this post and offer it privately otherwise I see this thread being deleted...

It's so strange because Conte stuff doesnt go for much outside the dealers!

Look at the prices of Conte stuff on ebay and you'll see that they don't even approach retail in most cases. Seems like this was all done over chump change.

From the "final" sales price this seller is getting I think you are right.
 
I just checked out Conte's site and am a bit confused. There's a lot of talk of 'the courts' going after the guy who bought all the stolen goods (which makes some sense), but no talk of the courts having anything to do with the employee who stole. He's the one who should take the fall...but he's not coming off as the guilty party.

If that happened to us the employee would be gone and the police would be involved.

Weird.

Other way round mate. Get the police involved and then the employee is gone. We don't like having to chase after people. Gets in the way of coffee and donut time.:wink2:

WHy dont you simply DELETE this thread. Past threads re CONTE have shown he simply isnt liked so why time discussing him.
 
If stuff gets stolen from your company by your own employee, you might need to watch it a little more.
Take care of the issue, have your employee (who stole the stuff) reimburse you, wether it be through court or a settlement.
I don't see the need that the whole world needs to know.
But maybe it's an opportunity for some cheap publicity.
Wonder if he got any news channels involved yet?

This thread has nothing to do with liking or not liking Richard. If stuff was stolen, then it's appropriate to let people know so they can avoid buying stolen merchandise. I don't see how this is discussing 'him.'

Richard made it all very public...this is just a continuation of that very public pronouncement.

Yes, but there are lots of people trying to sell Conte stuff. How is one to know? And considering that this deals with internal theft and has nothing to do with the consumer, what's the big deal? Is everyone supposed to avoid buying his stuff on ebay because someone MIGHT have stolen it? I'm not saying this didn't happen and he has a problem with someone, but it's no where in comparison to what happened at MTS. And the idea of rounding up everyone who may have bought stollen merch is a bit silly. Seems like he's just trying to get more space time.

It's a strange case but nothing is ever normal when Conte is involved.
