Hello everyone, it’s been awhile since I last posted. I need to ventilate my frustrations with the human race, specifically Ebay buyers.
As an Ebay seller, I have made a very conscience effort to be fair, open and honest. I would expect these things of someone I were to buy from so why should I not act the same.
I have posted over 1,000 items in the past 6-months. My collection is far too large and how am I expected to buy more if I don’t have room for the ones I do have? So, the way I remedy this is to sell some to buy some. Kind-a-like Kelly Bundy’s brain on “Married with Children.” Put something in, then something has to come-out, the brain (toy soldier space) only holds so much.
While a great number of the people I deal with are great buyers; I have been lied too, called a thief, threatened with lawsuits if the item does not appear (and of course when the item is delivered the very next day the suit happy buyer never bothers to tell me that he got it or to apologize for his rude and offensive manners). I have had negative feedback held over my head even when offering to fully refund the purchase price and all shipping (both to and from buyer). I have made refunds and been told that I am the worse seller ever. I have given refunds for suspect reasons, taking the buyers word, and the buyer still leaves a neutral feedback. The way buyers write Emails is astounding. Threats, insinuations, insults, and just plain bad manners are used when a simple please or an explanation would get a much friendlier and more agreeable outcome.
My European buyers are completely different. They are well mannered, easier to deal with (less anger), more understanding and better able to come to an agreeable conclusion to a situation that satisfy both me as a seller and them as a buyer.
And then, AND THEN, Ebay constantly changes their rules or policy regarding seller feedback, final selling fees, no refunds for an item that is refunded, final selling fees based on shipping too, etc. Pay Pal does, Ebay does not issue refunds for fees when a seller issues a refund to a buyer, and so what exactly is a proper charge for something that eventually did not sell? According to Ebay, it’s the same regardless of selling or not. I am surprised that Ebay has not yet started to charge a final value fee for return shipping. I better be quiet, they might like the idea.
I am close to finishing the group of toy soldiers I am willing to part with and complete my selling frenzy. I am tried of the entire process. I am tired of the crap. I am tired of Ebay stealing my money. I am tired of buyers who do not act like mature adult human beings.
