Using the K&C WW1 German gun with the JJ limber, work perfectly together. Cheers, Robin.

Robin mate,
Very, very nice. I was trying to ignore this range because I knew that when someone posted a nice dio I would get hooked. You have just done that.^&grin
Looking forward to catching up in four weeks time.
Cheers Howard

Robin, very nice dioroma! I like the pageantry, with all of the flags, etc. Also, very nicely photographed. You have a nice collection of this theme.

This is torture!!!! Worse than taking an alcoholic on an excursion to a brewery. I'm trying to avoid collecting any more model soldiers... don't taunt me.

Bloody beautiful range and setup, Robin

But I must resist all urges to buy this stuff... must resist :(;):D

Brilliant shot. Great colour and use of various items.

Britains Lord Kitchener with SOE's from K&C and some of the K&C Club figures. Simple idea of swapping Flag and Lance between figures is very effective. Even the Lances from the two singfle Skinners Horse fixed to the artillery piece. WWI arty set and a War of 1812 limber from Jenkins, topped off with a ACW photographer !!!

Absolutely love it.

However after checking my copy of Jane's Military Architecture (the pre-press version as it has not yet been published, as I am still proof reading it ) I do have doubts about the archway. This is clearly a Mario and Mustaffa Mk4 Triumphal Archway from around June 1937 from Archways R Us of Cairo. As we all know Lord Kitchener could not have rode under such an arch.

Great work Robin.

Regards
Brett

You are a tough man Brett, surely you can allow my some artistic license, especially since I am thinking of ordering a second arch from your shop, to back into this one as a mirror image. Yea of little imagination, but nice pickup on the figures I have attempted a subtle change on. Beware of biting the hand that feeds you. Cheers, Robin.

Loved the artistic licence and imagination which is what makes the image so good / interesting.

Just checked page 47 and it appears it could be a Mk3 which was when Mario was on holiday and Mustaffa made some improvements to the Mk2. That would make it in April not June. There was also a slight difference in the paint shading but only an expert can spot it.

Keep them coming. I encourage others to put up SOE type displays as we want to encourage K&C HQ to do more as it is a colourful series.

Regards
Brett

Brilliant dio! Creative use of all the different makers and figures. Colorful range used to it's best advantage. Love the exchange of the flag and lance. Just great. {bravo}} -- Al

Very nice dio and pics. These figures look fantastic, almost makes me wish I could stop collecting naps and start this range...almost!

I will work on you when the next releases are received, you will succumb eventually. Cheers, Robin.

You probably wouldn't have to work me over too much... this line is really a terrific subject for TS. All the things that I love about naps...colorful uniforms, excellant cavalry, various arty options... the list goes on. I think K&C really hit this one out of the park. For me it's a choice of jumping on this line or going with the Napoleon in Egypt releases...decisions ...decisions. What a great dilema to have!

Yes I think you have a major problem, maybe this will help. Cheers, Robin.

I would like to see the Skinner's Horse SOE offered in gloss. Can't bring myself to alter the matte figures.:wink2: -- Al
