I've had a look through all the reports and coverage by forum members at last weeks show but can't find any info or even photographs of any JJD figures! Was there anything new, Fuzzy Wuzzies from the Sudan range? ^&confuse

Thanks.

Jeff

I posed the same question in another thread and evidently the answer is no, nothing new introduced. I did find one photo posted that showed current JJD aircraft but that was about it. :( -- Al

I think JJD suffered from the same problem that Thomas Gunn did. However, in all honesty, when John has been there, everything is done from the Sierra Room and there is no separate Jenkins room.

I believe John is coming to the NJ show in November and the Toy Soldier Museum in PA. So we may get some news shortly.

I was told he would be at the Hackensack show...

I believe he will premier his Hadendowa Tribe figures (Beja Warriors/ Fuzzy Wuzzies) there...then afterwards go on to Florida...finally going to on to California...then returning home...

I know he doesn't like to show up at the shows empty handed...and I know he likes to travel light....and I know he doesn't like to sell at the shows as it takes away sales from his distributors...so I would expect a modest display at most...

I assume he will join one or several of his dealers at the Hackensack show to display his offerings at their table...

The last time John was at the hackensack show, he shared a section of George's (Minutemen Toy Soldiers) location. I don't know where he will be this year.

And as Mike said he will then head down to Florida for the open house at Troops of Time, then on to California for the Sierra open house.

He must mail all the stuff he wants at each location, because I think it would be a head ache to hop around the country with it all.

Did not see anything new or any proto-types from JJD in the rooms at the Chicago show.

Asked the Halls from Sierra Toy Soldiers if they could share any info. of what John might have planned in the near future, especially Culloden & Ticonderoga. They said John keeps that info pretty close to the vest, but did think there will be some mounted figures for Culloden coming out.

JJD excels at the hand-to-hand combat style figure. These prototypes look great and the 1745 Jacobites are unsurpassed for this kind of action. -- Al

Have a look at the "Chicago Show report" thread under Shows and Show Reports.

fmethorst has posted a couple of photographs of assorted manufacturers.

There are a few shots with JJD sets (mixed with others).

Raymond:)

I know these 3 are from Nicholas at Crown Military Miniatures...they are lovely...

These are the ones Mike, thanks. Two of them are almost available but I was hoping to see the others as painted prototypes, but roll on November then...

Hi guys,
In answer to your question of what was at Chicago on the JJD front, no new product was unveiled, however several dealers (such as Treefrog Treasures ^&cool) were sent advance pieces of what was available from the upcoming releases such as the new plane and pilots we had on display. More pieces will be ready (this week I think) to be shipped in the next shipment of general releases to dealers.
Best regards,

Al,

I think Shannon meant the SCW Me 109, which had already been announced.
