OK - The Campaign begins........................

Andy, this thread is to convice you that another WWII line of troops in Italy would be finicially successful. It open new doors of great figures and I believe can have tremendous $$$$$$$$$$$$ VALUE.

We shall present facts of the WAR in ITALY and offer some food for thought on this new and exciting line.

Gentlemen - I OFFER YOU ITALY

Somewhere Mr Gambale is preparing a list!

Rob

Come on lads - pour it on. Now is your time !

More ideas - fight on.... fight on......:D

If its casino it would be great to see Gurkhas, Rajputana Rifles,
28 th Maori Battalion ,Canadians and of course Brits and Americans

Ah we return to the Gurkhas.Would love to see them at Cassino, with Brits and US of course.Maybe a Stug and Tiger as well.

Rob

Yeah they were great.I had them in Airfix 1/35,they used my garden as a jungle when i was a kid.The Japenese and Australians also fought on my back lawn but i wasn't allowed to dig shell holes!

Rob

I was given about 20 boxes of the airfix h.o scale when I was about 9
from a family friend in scotland ,it was the equivilant for me of winning
the lotto at that point in my life [i,ll settle for the money now :D ].
Those little guys fought in more wars on my bedroom floor than take place
on this forum !

I hear you! Whenever i see the name Airfix or the boxes they came in it takes me right back.Throw in some Commando comics and i'm back in the seventies!

Rob

commando comics ,I had almost forgotten about them, I still have a large box of those going musty in the basement of my mums house.

I still have hundreds of them 'trash' my wife calls them.Last year they released two bound volumes of the twenty four most action packed issues,i just had to buy them for nostalgia. The writing is awful(not PC at all)but great fun.

Rob

I still have Airfix 8th army, Afrika Korp, GI's and British Commnados. My brother lost his Aussies and Gurkhas. Those were great figures

Yeah they were all good to.For some reason the one that sticks in my mind the most was the GI officer with pistol waving his men forward.

Rob

The British 8 th army officer in a soft cap and shorts is one of my childhood memories.

I must support Ron on this. I think a Monte Cassino Range would be great

Yeah and the commando with sub mchine gun and grenade! You know Ron is going to be mad at us for talking about this on his thread!!

Rob

The Airfix series is what got me back in to toy soldiers. I dusted off my old ones from when I was a kid, then got a few nice box sets of my favourites, and now have pretty much every box set / style going (Self confessed completist with this range).
The 7th Cav and SAS were the best poses they did for my money, but I've got fond memories of them all.

Simon

I think we suggested this first. He was asking for Operation Torch which for better or worst seems to be forgotten. Monte Cassino would be much better though

Can you still get the Airfix sets. Their British paras and American airborne were great. I would love to get hold of them.
