Ok guys, with Christmas and the following Dispatches still way off, how about we look forwad to 2012. Now it would be nice if this didn't turn into ' Andy I want I want I want' , but what are you hoping/expecting to see next year? As a WW2 collector I've got it pretty good in that pretty much throughout the year there are items I want, but how about you guys , what theaters, themes or eras would float your boat, or if there is one particular AFV you hope for next year??? I can hear Wayne typing S-T-U-K-A on the other side of the world as I type^&grin, but what else guys????

Rob

One of my favorite WW2 themes is BOB German's. One AFV I would like to see made is a Winter
Hannomag set or a Panzer IV. Also I am hoping Andy will visit the Eastern Front and produce some
Russian sets.

Andy said we will get a Russian AFV and several figures. I am also hoping for another Italian AFV, a Sturmtiger and a Suoma.

Well yes we've heard the Russian front will be revisited and this should be a popular release next year, I doubt I'll dip my toe so to speak but I said that about the Afrika Corp and I love that range now. I'm looking forward to RAF, D Day releases very much indeed for 2012 and am already stock piling cash for these, ok so the family won't have a traditional Christmas dinner, but I think Sausage egg and beans are underrated for the the festive meal:wink2::wink2:

I am looking forward to 2012! {sm4} Part of the joy of collecting is the anticipation of what's to come and the unexpected or unusual releases. In terms of what I collect I'm sure WWII ( in particular the MG, WS, D-Day, RAF and BOB lines), Naps and Crusaders will be well represented. I'd like to see a plain hanomag 251 and a long barrel, late war Pz. IV with side skirts soon, more armoured cars, horse drawn ANYTHING and an aluminum coloured U.S. warbird! Here's to another great year to come! :salute::

Bring on the Russians!

I'd also love to see some WW1 Russians and more Cossacks!

Mick

Just the usual please Andy.......
desert village
d-day/Normandy building
SOTE
LH
AE
MG
LOJ
NAP in Egypt

thank you kindly.

ps do not forget the 2nd set of FOB displaced civilians.

Cheers, Robin.

Firstly i would really like to see KC release a Russian JSU152..It would be great for Berlin, There was a really nice one at the London show on the Figarti table...Must admit i was very tempted but i just managed to keep my wallet from jumping out my back pocket into my sweating hand , Sometimes its hard to be faithfull with all the temptation out there!!!!!. The other item i would really love to see would have to be an Opel Blitz Ambulance (Cabin type) Might be a nice idea for a 250 series, Grey_Normandy_Bulge!!!!...Now which one should i buy??????.

great suggestion on the opel ambulance, you could also make a radio truck too. By the way figarti made a great su 152 but i am sure andy will come up with one better

To reiterate what Andy told me back on 30 September in San Antonio at his shop: more than one Russian AFV and about 7 or so Soviet figures in the 2nd qtr of 2012. Also a surprise release dealing with the American West coming around the time of the Texas Toy Soldier Show. 3 different Stuka versions planned to be of metal construction for durability, with a price per aircraft planned to be under $300.00. No definitive release date for these was given.Hopefully by fall of next year. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Hold on to your seats mates. !!! ^&grin

Had you mentioned the American West before? Don't remember it. At any rate, that's a great series. Have a few of them and would love to get some more.

On the Stuka, didn't Andy deny giving a definite issuance. Could be wrong but I thought he did.

No definite release date for the Stuka. Based on that if things do not come together as far as production he has the perogative to scrap the whole idea if need be. I think I will PM Andy for a little feedback on the plane if he is willing. :rolleyes2:

Looking forward to the Fw 190-D but that it given up with kc on there Market Garden range as the hobby about collecting

Don't know if he's back. He may be over at Toy Soldiers France this weekend. If you email him, can you ask him about the American West releases. Thanks.

Andy is back now. Speaking to him in London it sounds like 2012 will be a cracking year for us K&C collectors, the Russian front is only part of it, sounds like there are some superb releases coming but lips are sealed, but I'm saving like crazy now!:wink2:

My main hope for this year is a desert Sherman & hopefully Monty's Caravans done in desert colours! Also I hope we get a RAF firetruck at some point! Anything else would be a bonus :D
