K&C in 2012 (2 Viewers)

UKSubs,
How is the OWL built? Can you describe? Maybe not too well though as I am on the fence for that bird. Lol

It's made of polyurethane as are the other Figarti planes. They had a problem with weight distribution, which is why it took them a very long time (maybe two years) to get it out. Figarti are known for technological prowess and their models are a thing of beauty.

It's still available with some dealers like Treefrog but for how long is a good question.

Now, just to get away from GERMAN AIRCRAFT and WW2 .........

you asked wats should be coming for 2012, and so I'd assume you mean SOLDIERS ...

The only thing I'm looking forward to are the missing troops from the

NAPOLEONIC RANGE

If you bother to check the listings you will see these gaps in the numbers....

NA 213
NA 217 to 226
NA 237 to 242

17 GAPS top fill :) :) :)

The only 'hints' given so far are French Horse Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard.

The latest NA 216 "French Cuirassier Seizing the Colours" does show an interesting British Line Infantry colour, but the soldier is a Coldstream Guard, so thats not much help.

Any other cules???

Its only makes sense that K&C, will at some point in the not too distant future, release new British cavalry to replace the just retired Greys. The question then, would these be Hussars or Lifeguards ??? ... or both {sm3} {sm4} {sm2}

My bet would be Light Dragoons

We have had repesentation form the Union Brigade, with the Greys ........ but I'd like Hussars, but now with no British cavalry, thats a severe loss of advantage to Wellington on the battlefield.

John, I'd like to see some more Greys too, field Grey as in early War German figures....just kidding my friend:wink2:

Can't have Wellington without his Greys. I read a statement from Sgt Ewart of his ride and subsequent capture of French standard. What amazed me in those days is how they described such life depending, incredibly violent moments in such calm terms like ' I slashed down through his skull with my sabre and that was that'. Can you imagine today's youth explaining that ' I like really hit him with my sword like...and his head split open and it was well gory man...blood everywhere and everything'!^&grin

Among so many wants, I really hope for:

1. Building facades for Berlin '38
2. German invasion barge
3. Nebelwerfer
4. WWII signals (including Enigma machine operators), HQ, field hospital, field kitchen and supply type figures
5. Goliath tracked mines with support team

all this talk of packaging safety and medium long term life is, as I have said before a bit naughty to me to be used when others have products out before another. I have no idea whether K&C will release a stuka we don't really hear from the man himself about this just second hand snippets which, are often denied by K&C later.

Two companies have a stuka made!!! more than trying to crack the wings and shipping safety. I have Figarti aircraft, well, two the Owl and the ME110 now and, two WWII JJD and, they have had no issues with transport and, I am not concerned that the mediums that they use will disintegrate in five minutes. I have a number of WWI jjd aircraft and, have never had a breakage issue with any of these two makers so, I think they are packaged very well. I alsom have items from when I used to model build as a kid of similar mediums to whats being used today and they are still strong and not fell apart after 18 years and more.

I also don't think metal will be an option for a K&C version and be cheaper than what is released now. It would make buyers say well, if you can release a large aircraft as the stuka is, in metal for the prices that have been bandied around why are the existing polystone more expensive??? a can of worms.

I would venture a 88mm, sturmtigers, nebelwerfers, additional MG and other lines would be more interesting to collectors. For aircraft there are lots of fighters that should be done which have been asked for by a lot more people

Rob,

I expect you mean Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher's Prussians !!!

But Andy has always said "No Prussians" but why only NO to Napoleonic Prussians???

Thats AGE DISCRIMINATION as he has made WW1 AND WW2 Prussians... :(

John

One last comment on the previously mentioned statements made... When a toy soldier company owner invites you to a gathering at their stateside flagship store, looks you in the eye face to face in person and says to you :
Stuka, metal composition, 3 different versions, price point under $300.00 each that is not a second hand snippet but information passed on from the man who owns the company to the ears of an intently listening collector. It is factual information. What the end result is of all of it is in the hands of the manufactorer....good, bad, or indifferent. ^&cool

So why didn't you meet up with the UK Brigade? We told the barmaid that a big Texan oil millionaire was going to make an appearance and even had a drink ready for you, (Rob eventually snaffled that), but no sign. So what happened? Trooper
