Nice work there.... painting and poses.

Who makes those figures?

I do recognise the AIP figures, but thats all.

Nice figures Carnahan.

Are the Algeria and Cocochina figures the Academy 1/35 figures? They make nice figures.

Thanks guys! The Algerian and Cocinchina figures are from the Academy set, The first two are AIP and the third is Conte. The Dienbienphu figure is from the TSSD US infantry set - that one drove me crazy,
trying to get the Marine Corps jacket right. Incidentally, the front of the tommy gun came off when the figure was knocked to the floor - that's why I photographed him from the front.

Nice figures those - and easy to mix'n'match heads/ arms/ weapons etcetera, as can be seen below. I did mine in glossy style - and added a metal washer for a base. This helps to keep them upright - as being plastic, they are very light - and as you found - easy to knock over. With a heavier and broader metal base - they are far more stable. jb

Thanks! I love the camo job on the bases - very nice touch!

Ha! - Love 'em or hate 'em - I just got so fed up with knocking things over when trying to retrieve something from the cabinet. Same with horses - I always give things good solid bases now. Now, you can either try and make the base look "natural" - or - just emphasize that its there. So - I thought - lets try a camo version.

Some people like them - and others don't. Well ...........you pays yer money.............I like 'em, so thats the way these are staying.........AND......I don't knock 'em over any more - and have to repair the broken bits.^&grin Glad you like them too. jb
