Two or three months ago I had the idea of adding the then new K&C set# NA228 of a "French Line Infantry Mounted Officer" so as to fill out the "road" that passes by the HQ tent of Napoleon on the about 39 inch across round display table. The major roadway of diorama had a column of threes at that time with #24 marching Infantrymen + flag bearing officer & drummer. But then I decided to save the money on the NA228 set and just fill out the roadway by revising the "Column of Threes" to "Column of Twos". Then just very recently I saw on eBay a K&C set# NA192 of the "Camp Follower" lady with basket of bottles wine & apples and I decided to add her to the display at "only" $32.00 USD with free shipping via an eBay deal. I also had a small amount of "eBay Bucks" that I put to good use on this purchase. See #5 photos of revised diorama of the "Age of Napoleon". All sets were made by King & Country.

A very nice display Gary...
I love how you took the time to conceal the bases...
it really adds to the realism...

GREAT JOB!!!

Gary,

I've got a similar display set up, I've got Imperial Guards, not Line Infantry but yours looks greatwith the bigger base.

Whats the size of the base plate?

John

Great looking diorama the large column is really impressive!

Hi Gary,

It is good to see you enjoying your Napoleonic collection. The NA192 "Camp Follower" lady is a nice addition.

This may sound daft, but I have always wondered if she would fit into a K&C WWII display as the farmer's wife.

Thanks very much for your kind greetings for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Best Wishes, Raymond.:)

Dear John:

By "Base Plate" I will assume you mean the size of the display area or table. The round display table is right about 39 inches in diameter. I am not up on how to calculate the square inches. The figure of Napoleon is at the exact center of the display table or about 19 inches from the left side & the right side of the table from that position of Napoleon. Thanks for your comments as well.

Hello Raymond:

Even Karen has made a favorable comment on my new single figure set of K&C's NA 192. I find your second sentence of interest. I never would have thought of it, but indeed, now that you brought up the idea, why wouldn't the NA 192 set figure be a splendid "farmer's wife" in a rural WW2 (or WW1) setting in europe? I also had a nice close up photo of the NA 192 figure, but I decided to not use it here for the Forum. Ah, your thinking about how else one could use this figure for other historical periods indicates your ability to create splendid dioramas when you have more time to do so some day! I Hope you are ready or nearly ready for the Year of the Dragon celebrations.

Best regards, Gary

Very nice Nap collection you have Gary,
And you took the trouble in hiding the bases of the figures . Full marks for that .
Great and colourful scene and gathering of troops.

Hi Gary
I thought it was awesome before. Looks even more awesome. You have given me so many ideas. I need to get in gear with them.

Capitolron the figures are great. I might have to start picking up a few Napoleonic pieces.

I just want to thank all of the members who have left comments at the Thread I started some days ago.
