Just to finish off the info on the Gingindlovu sets, they cost £39 for each 6 figure set but with 121/2 % discount it bought the cost down to £34 :smile2:. Where there were less than 6 in a set the cost was £5.50 each figure, the mounted figures were £10 each, daylight robbery I hear you shout^&grin

Before Trophy produced set#BD8 “And not a drop to drink” , which included Sgt Millne of The Buffs, I asked Len to supply a figure to represent Sgt Millne in my Rorkes Dift display. Here he is along with Sgt Millne from BD8

I wanted to add Napoléon, Prince Imperial, (Full name: Napoléon Eugène Louis Jean Joseph) to the collection and as there was no “official” Trophy version on the market I had the Officer from BD8 “The Lost Gun” painted to represent him.

Here he is in a small diorama I set up a couple of years ago

What a shame Trophy has stopped producing wonderful sets, if they were still in business I could have asked for some specials for you, never mind you can always look at pictures of mine and imagine what might have been:tongue: ^&grin

It has been awhile since I started this thread and I thought it about time some new sets should be added;)

Here is set# EQ38 – OXEN DRAWN SUPPLY WAGON

From what I can gather the set was ordered by the Belgian Toy Soldier Museum, I was lucky enough to purchase this from Jean Claude

The original EQ38 set had 2 oxen, 1 native and 5 soldiers

I will add a couple of sets that started life in the WW1 series shortly

Cheers
