the hanomag O13 is a delightful piece of equipment.it is colorful and dynamic.
But where does it fit?it looks out of place in early wemacht settings,it doesnt really fit in Africa corps, since i have two of these fine models could anyone suggest a proper field of battle?
thanks guys

You can use them with SS Troops in Arnhem - fighting British Paras - I believe several were in Holland that saw combat.

That scene in Saving Private Ryan where the GI's in the field attack and destroy that armd car,is that a Hanomag?.

Yes! That was a Hanomag, but a different version than Ws-13. The one in the movie, as I remember, had a small turret with a MG In it. The German Army had twenty some odd Modified versions of this vehicle to fulfill various missions.

The hanomag in SPR that got knocked out by the bazooka round in the field was the standard 251/1 version, with MG mounted on the front and rear of the troop compartment. Another 25/1 was part of the German assault on the town later in the movie.

The WS 13 could be used for any display in the ETO from D-Day 1944 to the Rhine crossing in 1945, and also on the Eastern Front from 1943 (Kursk) onwards as well. It has the typical camo scheme for both of those fronts.................

It does have that sort of 'classic' German vehicle look.

Sorry Bill, I am watching SPR (for the oh I don't know 20-15th time) as I write this and the Hanomag has a 38MG splinter shield as in the K&C version. The smoke from the fire fight does tend to distort the view, but it is a splinter shield.

Many thanks for the suggestions about the Hanomag.Warrior, particular thanks for the specific area of operations. It works for me and i will see you soon in New Jersey and thank you personally.
