I just cannot get enough of these Crimean War soldiers! Is there any chance the line will continue!!

Charge for the guns' he said:

Was there a man dismay'd ?
Not tho' the soldier knew

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley'd & thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.



Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack & Russian
Reel'd from the sabre-stroke,
Shatter'd & sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.

Not likely. They were a special series commissioned by K&C UK. They ended the series a while ago. They were more expensive than the standard production K&C.

Treefrog sells them in the U.S. and still has some.

Nope, not a chance. K & C UK has discontinued the line. I think the costs became too prohibitive.

Yes Treefrog carries the line under Crimea on the King and Country line. After seeing Bayern's set up I have to go for it. They may seem a little high priced but they were quite a bit higher previously. I think this may be all that are left. So give Shannon an order.... I am.

Too true. It needs so much more to do a really great dio. Particularly on the Russian side. The Lancers are great but no single pose was done in a manner that multiples will work. There should have been two sculpts at least of full charge with lances forward.

The cost was high as they were a short run exclusive. KC should continue the line with a world wide small release. I bet they would sell. If not maybe another maker like TG or CS will step in on Crimea in the 60 Matte.

Now maintain a good sense of humor and post often. Say what you feel and do not fall in to some regimented form. I do not mean going regimental!! How anybody ever convinced someone to roll up in 9 yards of plaid wool.....go figure mate!!??

The Crimean series is awesome. I look at mine more then other then a few of my antique sets.

Buy them from Tree Frog and I want to see your displays!!!

The Crimean War is a favourite period of mine and right from the start I was in on this superb range from K&C UK. Over the years I have managed to complete the entire range and this year increased the numbers in my collection to 84 figures and 4 guns. I will be posting some photos of them sometime soon.

Good to have another Crimean War fan on board.
