Fortunately, I was able to get the two that are available, so far. I really like them and I was wondering, does anyone know if they are made of polystone? They are quite heavy. The propeller, guns, pilot, engine top and some cockpit interior parts, look like they are made of metal. There are couple of other things I noticed. The lack of weathering, (they look like they just came off the assembly line) and the fact that the stirrup on the side of the fuselage, for climbing into the cockpit is missing. All in all, I'm very satisfied with them, I'm anxiously awaiting the two new Albatros's that are coming out.

Greeting Hatman and go SJSU Trojan's!!!!!!

I was beginning to fear these were not being pursued as there has been little buzz on them. But perhaps there is a reason.

I have the first three Albatross planes and have recently acquired the first two Fokker's. The third Fokker will most likely be available next week. We will know in a few days. It is the red and white FW111.

The Fokker planes are made of poly-stone. Yes there are some associated metal parts. I think there also associated plastic parts. Perhaps someone from KC can confirm.

I also was taken aback a bit by the lets say "simple paint jobs". Just to plain and basic. They have no detail, weathering or anything. Nothing close to the Albatross's at all. I originally thought to mix them in a few diorama's but the Fokker's will have to be stand alone. Next to the Albatross the differences are really noticeable. I suspect the two types were farmed out to different manufacturers. This has happened before with say the Naps. Figures smaller then normal, inferior painting. It happens sometimes.

I was also disappointed that the pilots were not removable. I had really hoped they were even the usual half figures so they could be removed for airfield displays and also used in the Albatross planes, but no luck. Hopefully KC will make some removable pilots for this purpose later.

All in all as a WWI aviation fan I have bought them and have them displayed in good faith to KC's keeping the line going for all collectors.

Thanks again for your post,

Ludwig!!
