The US Airborne in action at the La Fiere Bridge

OOPS I didn't put this in the K&C Dioramas thread, moderator feel free to move it

The bridge and trees were scratch built by BSP, the K&C figures were given a light wash of 50% black paint and 50% water

The tension builds

There are many excellent scenic products available which we are tempted to use as far as mats and backdrops, but for the most part we are refraining from using them to keep our work truly original. The water is made with aluminum foil. The trees are dried flowers mounted to a real twigs from the backyard and the grass is all kinds of junk and real dirt. Actually there is a Build-A-Rama tree in there.

We also had the nerve to weather a K&C Airborne set currently valued over $200....No problem realism comes first collecting is not that important to us.

No photo effects were used.

Looks really good. Almost missed the bazooka man. -- Al

Thank you men.

I believe the Bazooka team took out the first tank coming across the bridge. Then the AT Gun went to work. Alex

Great diorama as usual. Your ground work and foliage are very well done and lend the sense of realism. Thanks for sharing.

That tank is history...! Great picture!

Thanks!

We repainted the K&C French tank and added German markings from our new decal set ( See Treefrog Classified section ) which were the tanks the Germans used in this engagement.

There were NO special computer effects used on this shot also, the smoke is cotton fiber lit up with a bulb. I deliberately shot this sequence with camera settings to produce a grainy effect. Alex

Great work Alex! You do not disappoint.
It reminds me of the movie Battle of the Bulge where FJ's dressed as American MP's were pretending to blow up the bridge.
