Thought I would share my current plight as we speak. In the middle of moving about 23 miles from my current location. The hardest part is taking each Toy Soldier
item out of the display cabinets and placing it in its proper box for transport. I am moving these items personally myself for obvious reasons. I would think this task
would be much more complicated if the original boxes were thrown away !!!!! Keep your boxes guys.......You never know when you might need them.

I sympathize, a few years ago I moved over two thousand figures and vehicles to my new house with no boxes. A few cases of bubble bags and wrap made it so much easier then repacking each item in its box. I think you do more harm then good sometimes putting them back in the original boxes.

Thanks, A big help has been refering to the web site that lists K&C so I can match up figures with boxes ! The vehicles are easy enough.

I found the easiest technique is to go to a Walmart (or similar) a purchase a few of those plastic flat storage boxes with lids.

Mine were about two feet wide by three feet long and about eight inches deep. Then get some sheets of foam at a local sewing or crafts store. NOT the flat kind but the kind that you found in the older K&C boxes with little pockets.

I simply placed the figures on the form, laid another layer of foam on that one and repeated the process. You can get maybe three or four layers with maybe 30 - 50 figures per layer, depending on your courage and packing skills.

Upon arrival I didn't even have a bent sword. {sm3}{sm3}

Mind you, that they were all figures and not AFV types but still quick, easy and very safe. The empty boxes were still in their storage containers so they were a Piece-o-cake to move.

Good Luck with the move.

Larry, Thanks for the sound advise. That actually seems much easier than the individual box routine......I like it !!! :smile2:

Larry, I feel your pain!:wink2: I had to move my collection three times in the last 15 years, the last time keeping a good bit of it in storage while my display area was constructed. I still have a couple of thousand figures in storage, and can't put my hands on several sets I would like to pull out.:redface2:
