hi all, a simple question: are there strictly limited editions in program for this year?

max

hi Max

yes there is One in the summer and one in the winter. I will leave Andy himself to tell you what he has planned.

The ideas are awesome.

Hi Tony,

Now obviously you can't give too much away about this, but can you tell me excactly what it is, how much it will cost and when it will be released?:D

Rob

OK so guesses start now.

The summer one will most likely be either a Normandy or Desert release. Probably German because they sell the best. I think it could be a DAK Tiger.

The winter one could be Bulge or Eastern Front again probably German depending on how well the SL Sherman sold last year.

Or the winter one could be part of the Arnhem range. How cool would that be?

You know just a hint. :D:D:D:D

Well its possible that they might not both be WW2.I thought i heard a whisper some time ago that one of them might be Napoleonic. However i'm sure at least one of them will be WW2,and i wonder if it might be a piece of North African armour?.

Rob

thank you Tony,

but now we want to known when, what, how many ,etc etc

ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ;)

thank you again for your reply:)

Re: SL

Andy will not release a Desert Tiger, this would show a real lack of imagination after all he has already released several Tigers! Unless of course he wanted to squash HB who have already said they were going to release one this year! With HB's price strategy of $180 for a tank it makes them very vulnerable to attack by other competitors. What if NMA and Collectors Showcase also released one at the same time as well? Going on the price of the Lynx it seems NMA have found a manufacturer that can make goods at a reasonable price this time. This would put HB under attack from 3 sides and every sale counts in this business! This also makes 4 manufacturers releasing the same tank at around the same time and I put it to the forum which one would you buy? (Brad please do not answer this question!)
Despite the controversy from the so called 'German experten' on the forum I still say that Andy made one of his best pieces ever with the Ramjager as it showed real imagination - and after all do we really need 4 versions of a HB Panther tank one after the other? This does not show imagination and I bet sales have dipped after every release. If HB go down the Tiger route will we be subjected to 4 or 5 versions one after the other? To me that smacks of financial suicide for a company in this business but what do I know after all I only run a multi million $ company that sells ladies underwear!

PS I know I do not come on to the forum often but you have to watch the quiet guys!

Red Devil,

I know Honour Bound's vehicles tend to the expensive, but they are exceptional (second only in quality to Figarti's armored vehicles) and often very unusual or innovative (such as the Bergepanther or the Field Kitchen). As long as they make excellent quality vehicles I cannot get elsewhere, I certainly will continue to purchase their products.

I don't think Andy would intentionally make the same product Honour Bound has announced it was producing in an attempt to quash their product. Andy told me at the symposium that he is quite pleased with the competition, because it encourages him to continue to improve his own product, and draws more collectors into the 1:30 scale matt WWII hobby.

By the way, which ladies underwear company are we discussing, and can you introduce fellow forum members (the unmarried ones, not me!) to the models?

Hmmmmm - now that would be a secret and the answer is in my reply!
Business is business and now lets stop talking about ladies underwear and talk about something much more enjoyable like toy soldiers!
I do not think Andy would hesitate for 1 minute to make something that HB were making if he knew it were coming out. It's not the sign of a bad person its the sign of an astute business man. Nobody believes the KC Panther was a coincidence the same time as HB Panther do they now - please - really please?
I cancelled my HB order as soon as I heard K&C were bringing out their own Panther expecially after all the delays. Same as I cancelled my Kettenkrad order with Britains as soon as I knew KC were bringing one out. I did buy the HB Bergepanther in the end but to be honest I do not feel I would pay that kind of money for their product again - tracks or no tracks. I bought the NMA lynx and it is a superb product for the money asked so thats where I stand. I need originality not the same thing in a different version!
Now if I can sell you some ladies underwear that would be great!

PS Brad I loved your answer!!!

Well whoever makes a Tiger next is going to struggle to improve on the Figarti version. From my reading of the various threads on the subject it seems that HB were specifically requested to make a Tiger in 1/30 scale which hasn't apparently been done yet.
The K&C versions were seen as being too small, something to do with mould shrinkage i think was mentioned.
K&C haven't had a Tiger in their product line for quiet a while now.

Also if K&C make a new SL one and limit it to 1000 and put it in a nice box I think it may sell pretty fast, regardless of whoever else releases one.

Anyway it's not really much to do with me i was just speculating cause i had nothing better to do hehe :)

Woah. Rubbish in 1/32 scale?

Strong words without a hint of a reason why it's rubbish.

I don't agree with you at all.

I'll shut up now.

I only collect 1/30th scale Eazy thats why its rubbish - no offence but unless it's 1/30th I am not buying. Let me guess you bought one? Thats great as long as you are into 1/32nd scale but for me there is nothing else. Very sad I know but it's like soccer - theres only Chelsea and everything else is rubbish!
Red
PS Do u support Chelsea?
PPS Do u want some ladies underwear?

erm no actually.

I have no problem with your view. Yep i collect quiet a bit of 1/32. I also collect a lot of 1/30. I personally don't think my collection is rubbish but it's good to know that there are informed people out there who think otherwise.

So I take it you are a fan of Queen Victoria. As long as you are not wearing your product, that's totally cool.

As I recall, the KC Panzer Meyer and Sherman limited edition retails for $200. Presumably, any limited KC Desert Tiger would go for about the same amount. So it would actually be more expensive than HB.
