Guys,
Won this group of old retired K&C Celts (CBG range) on Ebay on 18 Nov. 2012. Been looking for these for quite sometime. Paid promptly and the seller, Marcus dispatched quickly. Now the saga begins.

19 Nov. Scanned at Woodstock GA
20 Nov. Scanned at Atlanta GA
22 Nov. Scanned at ISC Miami FL
27 Nov. Received in Customs Peoples Rep. China

4 Dec. Just checked internet tracking and still being checked in China.

These sets came without boxes and were hand wrapped by Marcus. Only the good Lord knows how much opening, unwrapping and handling (breakages) will take place in China.:(

A great ebay transaction screwed up by postal officials. Why a parcel destined for the Land of OZ would go via China is a total mystery. A standard parcel from Treefrog would normally take 3 to 4 days to get to Melbourne. I wait with baited breathe.
Cheers Howard

Christ, I hope my package to you gets there ok.

even hand wrapped...with no boxes...I would guess with 3 mounted figures it would have been well over 4 pounds...which would have dictated "Priority" if it was USPS...I will say a prayer for you...

I also don't understand the China stop???

Sorry to hear about this Howard. A couple of TS items that were sent to me via USPS Priority mail earlier this year also went off in the wide blue yonder! (Figarti DAK Halftrack and K&C figure). The tracking on these items indicated that they left the states but that's as far as the info went! I did get a refund on both items from the seller but it's frustrating to not get something you are keen on and the rigmarole the seller has to go through to recover the money from the lost items.

Michael mate,
Yes, the parcel was sent USPS Priority International USD$54.70 and is the reason I am able to track it on the internet. A wonderful thing the internet. It was paid for by Paypal so I think I am covered but it is the 13 figures in an undamaged state that I want, not the dollars.
I pray now that the three very old K&C long retired tanks coming from Brad don't go via Outer Mongolian.
Thank you for your concern.
Cheers Howard

PS Just as I was about to submit this post the mail contractor arrived with a small parcel from my good mate young Tim Tyler, Troops of Time, in Jacksonville Florida posted on the 28 Nov and it only took four working days to get to me. I do believe that Jacksonville is not that far from Woodstock in Georgia.
What a strange Postal system the great country of America in running.

Howard...

I wouldn't throw in the towel yet...

Nov 19th shipping...included 2 weekends and Thanksgiving...

lots of non-delivery days in there...

it's been a little over 2 weeks...

I bet you get it in the next couple of days...

I know you're more concerned about not getting these rare pieces more than you are about a slow delivery...

if it was a Paypal...you're at least covered on the purchase...

I still don't understand the China stop???

They seem to just be getting worse and worse. Not shipped through eBay, but I shipped a 700.00 order to France on October 21st via USPS Express Mail. Should be 3 to 5 days. As of Decenber 3rd it still has not been delivered. They should give the whole USPS to FedEx for free, and let someone competent run it.

The parcels mailed by USPS Express mail usually stock in the French customs because custom dues must be collected. If you ship the same parcel by Priority mail as registered mail (to have a signature confirmation) it will go through French customs right away without any delays. Done many times with the same excellent result.
The worst customs are in Germany they would not believe in your declared parcel value and actually will open it and check merchandise value at eBAy and charge custom fees accordingly.^&grin
Just me two cents
Al
