Just received a bunch of these new figures and I normally don't get too excited about K&C figures, always nice, but K&C has outdone themselves this time. The sculpts, painting, weathering, etc. is outstanding. The best complement I can give is they don't look like anything K&C has done lately. My hat is off to Andy and his company....

Good news to hear that you like them. I am a WWII collector but am considering getting Custer, the guidon bearer, and a bugler for a little 3 piece set myself :wink2:

I agree, I have not seen them in person yet, but even the photos look much more detaled than other figures.

I want to point out the great accuracy of the Custer figure (my brother bought it in a Saimex fair in Rome).Having read the great book by Nathaniel Philbrick "The Last Stand" i learned that Custer and few other officers actually cropped their hair before the fatal campaign. The mythical image of Custer fighting for his life with long blonde locks is just iconography. So well done Andy!I want to point out too the debate about who wore buckskin (there was a circle of officers who usually wore this outfit) there's debate about Keogh wearing it but this is not confirmed.I gave a look to the other next releases and i noticed Lt.Cooke beard as salt & pepper..this is what appears from the time of the battle looking at contemporary pictures.Blackhawk Miniatures portrayed him with a brown beard but i think it's more accurate the KC figure.Sorry for being too meticulous!:)Merry Xmas to everyone!:)
