I received my 2007 Club figure a few days ago. Its the highlander at the ready from the "Thin Red Line" painting. I'm impressed with the paint and detail. However, the bottom of the base has "2006" on it as well as some other number. Anybody know why the year is wrong? Although they were probably made in 2006, I would think they should say 2007. Does anyone have the other French Waterloo figure, does it also day 2006?:)

Hugh, Yes I just recieved the French Sapper last week and it does say 2006 on the bottom of the base.Great figure by the way.

Hello,
Is the highlander gloss or matt? How is the quality of this figure?
Thanks
Benjamin

Hi Guys,

The Highlander is Glossy and is a really great looking figure. The other info on the bottom of the figure aside from the date of 2006 is WBCC 11 which stands for William Britain Collectors Club 11 = ? My guess is it has to do with the number of Club figures given away as part of your membership. Of course I can ask the club and see if they tell me. But the big thing is the figure is out standing and will be a great addition to the collection.

All the best

Dave

I,m interested in the french sapper but don,t want to join the collectors club. Does anyone have an extra one or know where I can pick one up without joining the club?

Hi Tim,

This figure will probably be a little difficult to get since they were made to order so too speak. What they did was ask you which one you wanted as you rejoinded for the year. You could get them both at an additional cost. I havent seen any on the secondary market but thats probably due to the fact they were just released. I will let you know if I see any.

All the best

Dave

I don't wish to join those clubs either. That is the price we pay for not doing so. And I will also repeat the request:)

Hi Hugh:

The figure was sculpted and sent overseas in 2006, that is why there is a 2006 copyright on the bottom of the base. Packaging and certificate identify it as the 2007 model.

Richard,

Good to know what the situation is. This will be a little confusing in future, once the figures hit the secondary market, especially it they don't have a box. Perhaps you could consider stamping the year of issue instead of manufacture for the Club figures or even all figures? Great figure btw.

Good idea Hugh - will look at that for 2008. Thanks!
