During the long winter nights of 1941-1942 the comrades of the Lehr Regiment of the 191st Sturmgeschütz Brigade have built a model of a Sturmgeschütz belonging to their regiment . The inscription 9./ALR.mot.2. means : the 9th battery of the 2nd motorized Artillery Lehr Regiment ;

Interesting piece of history...the soldier...looks a bit like film star Jimmy Stewart....was Jimmy flying B17's for the Yanks and moon lighting in the German artillary ? ...TomB

You have to wonder what happened to this model.

Very skillful and I love the little box it came in. I bet if it survived the war and someone put it on ebay it would fetch a fortune!
