Re: “This ‘n’ That”

Hi Guys,

Boy, what a great discussion we started on “GESTAPO ARREST”. Has to be one of the most interesting threads of recent times.

But to digress for a moment...re some other points...

1) 1812

To be perfectly honest, this particular North American conflict has little or no interest for me. It was in the middle of the Napoleonic Wars and I would prefer to keep my focus on that rather larger affair than be side-tracked...sorry!

2) K&C Civil War

Our previous “Antietam” series of K&C was, as Louis pointed out, our second “bite at the cherry”. It was also the last complete series to be carved by our original freelance sculptor before K&C set up its own sculpting studio in China.

3) “FlyBoys”

I too loved the flying sequences of this movie...whether real or computer generated — and there was certainly a lot of that. However, I never read or heard about anyone being killed while making it! I subscribe to most of the Aircraft enthusiast magazines and most had features on the making of the movie...none of them mentioned accidents or casualties.

4) Recent Promotions

As a humble N.C.O may I also add my congratulations to the recent spate of “brasshats” created by HRH Queen Shannon the First. Well done, lads...Keep those cards letters and emails pouring in!

Best wishes and warm, fuzzy feelings to one and all,

Andy C.

Mr Neilson,

Thanks for the info. Obviously my recollection was not right. It was during the filming of Hell's Angels that men died.

Pierre.

The Gestapo thread has indeed been fascinating and enjoyable. So good to read everyones view points and also done in a calm and measured atmosphere.

So Andy, with the interest in Flyboys, any chance we will be seeing some WWI aircraft, famous flying aces, and groundcrew out of the WWI line?

s it safe to assume then that the British Uniforms used by the British troops in the U.S. in 1812 are the same as "Napoleonic " era
