Well I hardly know where to start with this. Speaking for myself I've just had the best time over these last couple of days and think it one of the best shows/get togethers I've ever attended. It was an absolute pleasure to finally meet people who have over the years become real friends . Louis, Howard (henceforth known as Shamrock^&grin) and his lovely wife, Chris and his charming good lady, Ed and Steven and his lovely family.

On top of this we were also joined of course by the UK brigade who it is also always a joy to meet up with. James, Bob and the lovely Trudi, Simon, Jeff, Andy and for the dinner we were joined by David from TM terrain and of course Clive and his good lady.

One thing that Louis and several of us were saying is that the social side of this hobby is so strong now and growing all the time. Any of us could pretty much order anything we saw at the show online without going to London, but it's the friendships we've made that take us to London three times a year , year in and year out. THIS forum is responsible for these friendships:smile2::salute::

Once again thanks to Clive for organizing such an enjoyable evening on Friday, nice one mate^&cool

The guys have already posted some terrific pics so here's a few of mine, sorry guys I'm not a brilliant photographer!

The superb Bocage dio made by the multi talented David for Sammy

Rob,
Seems I was first to read this.
Good to hear you guys had a good time.
I can think of another butcher who might want that diorama to be sent to the wrong address{sm4}.

I couldn't agree with Rob more about my experiences so far this weekend. Far and away the best part has been seeing old friends (many of whom I have known well for years through this forum, but was meeting in person for the first time. The London brigade are a great bunch of guys, and dinner, the Show and drinks were all an absolute pleasure. I just had breakfast with Ed, Howard and his lovely wife Jenny, and await the arrival of Simon and Kevin for the drive out to Clive's for today's events. More on the Symposium later.:smile2:

Louis, hope you guys all had a great day yesterday at Clive's...how may Mosquito's have your ordered mate?!^&grin

Rob,

I had a wonderful time at Clive's Sunday, his collection is spectacular! Loved both Mossies, but only have room for one. Met another Treefrogger, Major Dan, another friend to add to my most important collection, :wink2: and the best beer I've ever drank, a Belgian Beer with 10% alcohol called St. Bernardas. Sue put out a lovely lunch, we suffered through Kevin's humor for a few hours (poor Simon and James had a 3 hour car trip he with him{sm4}) then had a lovely dinner at a local restaurant. See you at Duxford in a few hours!:smile2:

Yes ... same with me. The only reason I am not getting a couple of Mossies is that I do not have the room!{sm4}
