was speaking to Bachmann European Sales Director at a show yesterday and Bachmann/Britains were not in a franchise deal , he also said that when he visited Manchester store products were being sold below cost. Also said they had not decided what was happening as far as the Britains Exclusives at the moment .

Cost or retail price?

Around the time of the sale to Bachmann of WB UK, prices were lifted twice in a short period of time. So some stock is at very old cost price.

Cost price is cost price and retail price is retail price , i wouldn't have put cost price if i meant retail price . He wasn't specific which items were below cost as TS is not his main area,it was just a general statement .

Was in Modelzone Romford this AM. Stock being sold off at 20% discounts. Don't know if this is the same across the chain. Depending on how quickly the stock goes discounts may get bigger.

On Friday, Bristol was offering 30% discount. Not much stock left now though.

Went into my local branch today and loads of stock like normal but even at 20% off still not that cheap and maybe that the problem

Was in their New Oxford Street Store (used to be their Holborn Branch) this morning - its only been open just over a month! Discounts varying between 20 - 30 percent. Very few Britains left - a few Zuu War and WW I British. A few FoV and Dragon diecast armour items. Quite alot of plastic kits though.
