I noticed for the Napoleonics that K & C did an excellent job on the Royal Horse Artillery figures. I think a full gun carriage in action pose would be awesome looking.

What do you mean by "a full gun carriage in action poses" ?

If its a 6 horse team, limber and gun, with 3 mounted drivers and 2 gunners riding the limber, I'd say the reply from K&C would be "NO WAY"

The reason would be the cost to buy it.

Going on the current price for K&C mounted figures being $110, riderless horses being $60 and individual figures $45 that's $630 !!!

Still why not ask?

You never know ...... ^&confuse

Ok then Andy ... will settle for another 6 pounder with new RHA gun crew in action. That would give me a battery of 4 guns {sm4}.

I just like the idea of a full carriage rushing into a position. I see how the cost could put K & C off from doing it, but if it has the potential to be a center piece for a napoleonics collection I wouldn't mind spending the money. Sure it is a lot in a single purchase, but buying pieces for a dio (mounted or individual) is pricey as well. I just think such a set would look good in a dio or by itself on a bookshelf.

To make it affordable, the set could be sold in stages. Two horse at a time and then the carriage.

Or, here is a compromise:
A stationary limber (no horses needed, but two could be standing) with an open lid and attendants bringing up ammunition. Then there could be a few figures bring a gun into action, kind of like the one WBritain did. As a reenactor, I can say that a lot of time is spend manhandling the gun- though this is mostly done with two bricoles (dragropes) and a gunner on the tiller.

I fully agree something like this is needed for the range and should be marketed in stages for affordability. K&C recently did this with their new 25pdr artillery and tractor for WWII so why not for us Napoleonic collectors?

Maybe sell each horse set and rider separately and then the limber/cannon and then the figures? I am trying to think of a way it can be done without having to spend X-amount of dollars on a wagon or set that cannot fully be used until the full set is complete.

Maybe you'd like something like what Frontline has produced?
