Is it me or does King and Country need to come out with some more American Revolution Artillery and a NEW French Napoleonic Arillery Set?

BOOM BOOM BOOM - Who's the Boom King ? Andy is the Boom King ?

I like Boom - You like Boom - We all go boom-de-boom........ :D

Have you been at those Bolivian Cigarettes again mate!:D;)

Beaucoup Boom-Boom :)

I think I heard that phrase in a Vietnam film.

IMO the American Revolution Red & Bluecoats will probably be retired soon. Some of the more popular Redcoats are begining to run out of stock.

If that is so ... what do you think will be a worthwhile replacement in the AR line? Artillery is always nice ... but I think the replacements will have to be basic figures.

For the King's forces ... an expanded range of the mounted/dismounted Dragoons, I guess would be a suitable replacement. What will do for the Colonials ? A winter in Valley Forge line ? :p

I have noticed the same thing--items seemingly running out of stock. Additionally there has been no news regarding this line lately. Anyone have any insider info on the AWI line? I hope that whatever Andy decides to do with his AWI line, that it will expand and not totally eliminate it.

And yes, Ron--I agree--bring on some more BOOM. :D

I like artillery,he he-he heeeeeeeeeeeeeee (Done in best Peter Lore voice)

I think we all agree the American Revolution is going to stay around for awhile - Andy just release the New British Dragoons and he popped up with the Militia Set last Fall - so I believe more is to come. Hopefully it will be some BOOM - BOOM !! :D

The old continental Artillery Set has been retired for a long time now - and even more so for the British - which were very simular to the Americans. So how about it lets here it :

WE WANT BOOM !

  :D

Also my French Napoleonics could use a new Artillery Set to take on those British Light Horsemen !! ;)

If by light horsemen you mean the Greys, you'd be better off having sets come out of gunners crying and running away................

Instead of retiring the older Redcoat figures, because the stock is running low, I hope he just does another run. These are wonderful figures for doing multiples and result in fantastic displays. Maybe that is why the stock is low. If they continue to be good sellers why retire them?

I haven’t finished buying yet.

I dont think throughout the entire Napoleonic Period could you say that French Artillery cried and ran away - there were many tears from British, Russian, Austrian and Italians Troops facing the most modern Artillery Units in the World at the time - All French under NAPOLEON.

These tears of the allies could make an ocean before Waterloo ;)

As a former blues fan, the title of this thread reminds me of that great blues classic "Boom, Boom, Boom" by John Lee Hooker, herewith presented:

Boom boom boom boom
I'm gonna shoot you right down,
right offa your feet
Take you home with me,
put you in my house
Boom boom boom boom
A-haw haw haw haw
Hmmm hmmm hmmm hmmm
Hmmm hmmm hmmm hmmm

I love to see you strut,
up and down the floor
When you talking to me,
that baby talk
I like it like that
Whoa, yeah!
Talk that talk, walk that walk

When she walk that walk,
and talk that talk,
and whisper in my ear,
tell me that you love me
I love that talk
When you talk like that,
you knocks me out,
right off of my feet
Hoo hoo hoo
Talk that talk, and walk that walk

Ron,
As an admirer of the Napoleonic French Army, my comment was made in jest.

I'd say before the invasion of Russia Ron, it was all downhill from there.

Austerlitz, Eylau, Friedland, Aspern Essling, Wagram, etc all happened prior to 1812, it was all downhill from there. The campaign in Spain was truly Napoleons ulcer as well.

Despite all the screw ups at Waterloo, had the guard attacked sooner, around the time La Haye Sainte fell, the battle still could have been won.

That is the beauty of military history, the what ifs and woulda, coulda, shouldas, just like the Confederates and the Battle of Gettysburg during the Civil War, sorry, War of Northern aggression according to some.

Whos the BOOM KING ? Andy are you the BOOM KING? :D

I like Boom - You like Boom - We all like Boom-de-Boom.....

Come on join in everyone - Boom, Boom, Boom - de - Boom -de do.....

I would like to see some reworks on the whole line- arty would be good, Some crouching or kneeling Brits reloading would be better and then some action mounted dragoons would be best.

As it stands now, the Standing and kneeling Brits are both firing. I would like some reloading pieces like the colonials.

I am not holding my breath on the arty though- I have been eyeing up Conte's new Colonial guns and may take the plunge there.....
