I had to start this thread - because I got tried at looking at the "Mad Face" all the time staring out. So - Lets talk POSITIVELY about our great up-and-commer company NMA.

One word for me !! TIGER !

:D :D :D

The New Model Army Waffen SS Mortar Set.

It has a well detailed mortar with separate pieces and comes with four well detailed figures in realistic poses, making it the best Mortar Set on the market imo. Yet it seems the set struggles to sell against other better known products

Imo it's likely to be a very sort after set when they disappear off the shelves.

Well said & in typical Capitolron fashion via one large font phrase...

WINTER PAK40 BABY!

As for OZ's *****sment of the NMA Mortar set-I must agree as it is absolutely splendid. Makes me think that I better get another one before they vanish.

Hang Tough!

Another one in support of the NMA mortar set. Superb piece. The latest sets look fantastic and Blake seems to be in the position where he is constantly striving for better detail and more realistic figures. NMA is also on top of the current 'flavor of the month' (IMO) and is responding to what collectors want.

Are the 111-D and 131-D both (AK) Desert Tigers - I cant really tell...

Yes. They're designed to compliment each other as a hunting pair. Different commander figures as well.

Quite right Ron.

Just as well we haven't heard any more from the Old Tanker!

I like the NMA just as much as my K&C. The quality especially for the price is very good and seems to be getting better with each new release. I have 3 sets so far and I will add the Puma and a Marder when they are ready.

Jeff

I like them....looking forward to the marder.

Jeff,
Yeah, OTer got shot down in flames pronto-tonto. :D:D
I already have the 232, Sturmtiger and ss Mortar team. When I compare these with what other manufacturers have on offer in WW2, then it's pretty obvious that NMA AFV's are up there with the best.
Really want to get my hands on Tiger (s), Puma, Marder - and a Lynx (hope I won't be too late on the Lynx).
Have to focus on #1 priority at the moment though - K&C Crimea set 1.

On a separate subject, there's (IMO) a really good suggestion in the appropriate forum thread for future ranges to include Mongolian Empire. Around 5 years ago while in transit in Budapest (and was beginning to get interested in miniature figurines again) I saw a magnificent Mongolian horse archer figurine completing a Parthian Shot. Had to have been one of the Russian manufacturers. As usual, I hummed and hayed and settled on a Nap instead. But to this day, I do regret not shelling out for that Mongol.
So here's hoping that sometime in the future our favourite figurine manufacturer might consider allowing me to rectify that mistake.

PS. How do you spell heyed? hayed? - as in "hummed and"....neither looks right:eek: Maybe just stick to prevaricate.
There I go, off on a tangent yet again.....

Thanks Simon - I thought they were AK Tigers - but the computer photo didnt give me a good look at them - both are must buys !! :D

Hi Guys,

Glad to see that you guys have discovered this really great company! I think we will see a lot of great things from them in the future and I am sure you will see that they are very good compliments to your existing K&C collections. I am sure many of you will be surprised to know I have several of their sets and plan to add a few more including the Tiger. I will post photos when I get home from my trek.

All the best

Dave

I am also a BIG fan of NMA. When they first came out their product line was very good. Now, with each new product release, their products are getting even better. The new figures appear to be true winners! I'm waiting for my grey Tiger to arrive. It will go good with my other 4 NMA vehicles....Nick

Nick

You do great work - I really enjoy all your dioramas !! I think what really impresses me is your attention to detail - great stuff. :D

Ron

Hi Nick,

Those are the two NMA vehicles I happen to own (same paint schemes too), so it's great to see them in a diorama together.
